It kind of bothers me that weapons don't have holsters. I mean, it's ugly that I can just throw a heavy shotgun or a bulky rifle over my shoulder and it just stays there. Like, what the F*** is gravity?

Some weapons kind of make sense, because they have their own holsters. Despair, Kunai and Hikou are the only ones I can think of that do, though. On that note, some Warframes (like Ember, for example), have those leg thingies that pass as a holster and looks decent. It's always bothered me that weapons just magically stay in place without being holstered or strapped to my Warframe. Melee weapons are just as bad, though. The Galantine is comically huge, and yet you can just swing it on your back like, that's it; It just stays there. Same with Orthos. Again, some melee weapons make sense, like the Glaive and the Kestrel.

Anyone else slightly annoyed by this? :(

I assume they are magnetically locked in place.

A magnetic lock would be silly. Obviously a magnetic attraction not strong enough would just make the weapon fall off haphazardly. A magnetic attraction too powerful would make it impossible to equip.

Future Science~

This is the only answer that will ever satisfy me. It still looks meh on Warframes that have bland and uninspiring designs. Mag, Nyx, Nova, Excalibur, et cetera are all practically someone wearing fancy tights, in my opinion.

Reminds me of Halo

And umm synthetic-organic suits right, maybe we have those tiny organisms holding it in place.

What is stopping a magnetic holster from responding to commands from the Tenno within the warframe or from responding to a signal when the grip is grasped?

Maybe. Definitely like this thought more than just magnets.

Would like someone to please explain weapons like the Synapse, or Tysis, even.
