Q2: Do you plan on creating many different kinds of Warframes? I love every single one of their designs and I would enjoy seeing dozens of more Q3: Will there be many more varieties in enemies? When I mean variety, I mean more types of elite enemies or factions even. I mean, I know that every planet has different resources, but why should I farm rubedo on Pluto when I can also get them on Earth and other planets. At the moment I don't see any real reason to fight against stronger enemies when I can get the same things from weaker ones too. So, when will there be a real reason to play high-level planets? A way that we can just do any of the levels we already unlocked without having to choose ourselves. Or something similiar that just throws you into any group on any planet that needs more members. Was talking with a few friends about how nice it would be so we didn´t have to think and choose outselves and I was wondering if something like that ever be implementet. Not sure how much sense I make to anyone else but it works in my head :D another little side note, havn´t checked the forums for this since I fear the tons of pages I would have to look through. is there any chance there will ever be anything PVP? like 4v4 capture the flag, I don´t care about it being balanced I´d just like to try my luck against other players. New player that game to Warframe when it came to steam and been playing it almost none stop since :D I love this game and can´t wait for the stream to get to know more about the games future. Q2: Are you planning on adding and improving playstyles? I see there is some way of "stealth" but it really isn't viable if your trying a pure stealth run. Based on your personal observations and findings, which Warframe do you think needs the most rebalancing in terms of skills, skill costs, and stats? 2. With the update 7 mod system, you have made abilities modules themselves instead of making them intrinsic to the Warframe. It's an odd move to make, though it makes me wonder if there are future plans for the system as it is. Do you have plans to use this system to introduce alternate skills for each Warframe? While U8 will focus on the Clan and the Territory system, I was wondering if we could get any insight as to a few other things that'd been talked about in the past... For instance, I've been dying to see the Weapon Specific mods for a while now, but I realized since Day1 of U7 that an addition to the mod system that would allow for weapons to have game changing effects would mean severely hampering the weapon's potential in other areas... Take the Lex; It's ideal Damage-Per-Shot Fired build is 220% damage, 120% multishot, 90% fire/Lightning, and 60% frost, which leaves 11 power left over for flexibility. That's 5/8 slots filled, with marginal numbers in other mod potential. Sure, that makes for an amazing gun that's going to 1shot everything short of a boss, but when you factor in just how much we'd have to sacrifice for the Lex's Specialized mod(1st shot in a mag is explosive, as per Steve's mentioning), would it really be worth dropping any of those mods for something like that, even if it's amazing? Another suggestion/question is this. After a certain point, what is the purpose of Orokin items? I've got all the frames I could possibly want at current content(None of the others interest me enough to farm them), and six Orokin Reactors. That said, my question is...Why should we be limited to just one reactor/catalyst per warframe/weapon? Now, i'm not asking this as a way to get perpetually growing power for our frames and weapons, but rather an increasing cost for flexibility. There could be a linear reduction in energy/reactor flow, in that while the first reactor gives 30 energy and is pretty much needed to have any sort of flexibility for customization, the second reactor in the same piece of gear only gives 15. Halved or reduced from there on as the DEvs see fit. This would allow for players to weigh in the value of say, Catalyzing their newest weapon, or adding 5 or so more energy to their favorite weapon, so that they can put on another level for Multishot or something. This could be 'gated', in that you're only allowed to use a certain number of catalysts on a single item, relative to your overall Mastery, which would give people another reason to buy/use new warframes and weapons. My last suggestion is in regards to the Chat system. Too often have I seen people ask 'How do Mods work', or 'Where can I find X piece of information'. Since the addition of the Global chat, people have used that as the way to find info about the game, and quite often, others fail to respond, or give misinformation. So, I ask you...Why can't we have an additional tab on the chat frame, devoted to frequently asked questions about current content, written by players, and moderated by chat mods. For instance, i'd love to write out a short info bit on where certain frame parts drop, or advice on elements vs certain types of enemies, but after doing it 30 times a day, it gets tiresome. Anyway, these are my points/questions in TL;DR form. 1) What will make the Specialized Weapon Mods so valuable, that we'd sacrifice current mod power for them? 2)Can we have the ability to use Catalysts and Reactors on the same piece of equipment, with diminishing returns? 3)May we have a separate info tab on the Chat frame for frequently asked questions, devoted to answers that new players look for? (Red wasteland on Mars, Frozen Wasteland on Pluto, Volcanic on Europa, Jungle/Mountains/Desert/Forest on Earth and so on.) We know the maps a procedurally generated however, even with the few different types of maps we had so far, it always comes down to "techno corridors", elevators and "I'm detecting Ice! Lots of it!" Are there any plans to make more "Boss Rooms" like the Bit four-legged robot one? Maybe an overhaul of the most mild bosses with no special appearance, merely a few more abilities over regular Heavy units. Are there plans to make the infested dynamics? Meaning that they would infest systems, spread and maybe invade a mission "live" as the players goes through and fight the Corpus or Grineers. Going with the above, any plans for factions wars? Meaning having the Corpus, Grineers and Infested fight eachother and the players. Are you looking into those Invisible walls near ramps or force field around corners that can stop bullets? Weapons : Are there any plans to add more variety to long range engagement? More assault rifle like the MK1-Braton (that are actually good end game) would be appreciated for those of us who like the more "FPS" approach. Can you tell us anything about balancing Multishot and the shotguns clear advantages? When can we expect Katanas and Wakizashis? I mean, they have to be coming some day, right? Alerts : Any plans to make the Alerts more unique and flavored rather than simply a bonus to an otherwise normal mission? Example : Infested invasion detected, Go to this location and protect these shuttles while people evacuate. Or the Corpus developped a new Hacking AI, you need to infiltrate the base, download the AI and leave. (Would have to get to a specific location, defend it for a given ammount of time, then leave.) Are there plans to make it so simultaneous alerts can happen? What about "Planet wide" alerts? Where a certain amount of objective or alerts would have to be completed in a given system to "win"? Warframe : Any plans for more customisation options? Like decals, "Camo" and so on? Are you actively looking into balancing the different abilities of the different Warframes? Will I ever be able to pull and throw people down into the abyss with my Mag? There seems to be some invisible walls everywhere that stops me from doing so, it's quite saddening. :*( Misc : Update 8 will be mostly about Clans it seems but can you tell us anything about Update 9 and what it will be about or what you want it to be about? How big is the team working on Warframe? Will we ever be able to move the screen around in the "System" screen and maybe look at the people sitting around with us? Is Cheesecake a real cake or a pie? (not talking Skin for Plat here) -Will the Inventory ever be intuitive, sorted and easier to manage? -Will ground attacks ever work on infested crawlers? -Will endless defense on higher levels ever be more than just an increase in Enemy-Bulletspongeiness? -Will there be special (exclusive) Mod rewards for doing a high wave count on endless defense to give it more purpose? -Will Ressources ever be sellable for credits? -Will there be a "Invite to Game" function for the chat to team up without needing to have them on friendlist? -Will there be more fun stuff like the Stalker appearing on missions? -Will there be more Meta-game like Alerts are right now.. meaning stuff that happens/can be done when not actually playing? -Will there be more content in the future that specially addresses the people with Rank 8/9 who have Everything and are bored? -Will this list ever end? And Boston Cream Pie is actually a cake.... :) My thoughts/questions... 1) Will there eventually be an option to adjust the "power" of a mod? Say I have a Hellfire (Fire damage) mod at level 5. Awesome 60% damage at 11 energy. But I have a level 4 Rifle and want to take fire damage. ... a method to lower that mod (temporarly) to fit the weapon. In palce of having an unranked, a rank 1, rank 2 and so on ... for each mod... 2) Alerts seem rather, not alerty. Have there been thoughts on expanding these missions to a more "living environment". Say a planetside mission with people? to rescue a POW or save hostages or even liberate a town from enemy control? A little more story/environment would be nice I guess. A smarter mission objective or mission tag. "Distress Signal Detected" ... we all know its an enemy ship. BUT.. what if it wasn't?! 3) Virtual Arena Combat... Training Grounds... a map where we can just let lose and kill things, as a clan maybe. To help train new people, practice, test new frames, or even just let lose and commit virtual genocide. Like an endless defense that we can have some options for... like a mix of enemies, the environment, hazards, level of bad guys.... maybe add a special station where we can adjust mods in things on the fly for testing. 4) I hope we get a trade system for interclan exchanges... will we? can we have it now? 5) more powers for the warframes... I like what we have. But, varriation is limited between me and my friend on the same frame. thoughts? plans? 6) Can we get a "Master Warframe" ? Something universal. 10 slots. 30 + 30upgraded energy. But in the ability polarity spots a player can insert any lv 1, lv 2, lv3, and lv4 power but only one of each, maybe at a higher (mismatched polarity?) cost. ... The two questions I have is: 1) Now that rare mods from defense missions (I know these are only one small portion of where you could get rare mods, but easily the most farmable of the missions we had to obtain them; so I am going to use them as a single reference) have been decidedly made rare with the 7.7.1 hotfix/patch released today and are no longer the credit cash cow they once were, has there been any discussion amongst the staff about adding credit rewards to these missions on a sliding scale in a way similar to how mod rewards work after every fifth wave? As it stands now, it is the only mission type that doesn't give any type of credit reward once finished no matter if you end at wave 5 or end at wave 95. 2) Regarding the contacts and playing with friends/people. Is there a votekick or remove from party function being implemented into the game anytime soon/some kind of idle kick system? I only ask because it is often times impossible to finish a mission if one person is away from their keyboard for an extended period of time and or start one without the entire squad in attendance. (Defense missions, some boss missions if not all. I believe there was a post a month or so back where a player inadvertantly fell asleep or got called away and it locked the mission out for quite a lot of people forcing them to have to abandon and hope they didn't get put back into the same squad.) I am aware that such thing for Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune makes no sense, but frozen Venus does not make much more. - Can we expect new mission hazards - up to this point we have "everything is on fire" and "everything is frozen" - which does not fit planet tileset (at least with current description - "this ship's cryogenic... and so on" or "this ship has taken some hits") - Why have we landed on Europa ? You can still get plenty of rare mods on defense missions, you just have to play on higher level defense missions for a better drop rate. Why DE chose the stamina drain (love it btw) and how it can be amplified with Fury mod and whatever else is generally unknown. Close Quarters Combat Moves? - Basic kicks, neck breaks, throws (toss enemies into group of other enemies). If I could fling my sword at enemies, it could open up some empty handed combat moves until I retrieve it. Then add a mod that allows me to call it back on command doing dmg as it returns if any are in flight path. Ash Teleport - add stagger or stun to animation when he appears? Are more parkour-esque moves coming? Will we ever see an obstacle course for training our parkour move set? If so could this be vs (not traditional PvP) where we race each other to finish, with the ability to trip each other up with our combat moves and abilities? Maybe different racing types, like Solo timed trial, armed and unarmed versus, abilities on or off...etc. What new cool things are planned to expand the STALKER's roll in the game?
