I have a few problems. The sentinel wyrm has the ability to stun using radial blind but the skill doesn't work, sentinels are really really weak as if the rifle's base damage is 5, there is a massive connection problem in the game where i cannot get connected to the chat, i lose connection to matches and i get disconnected so many times while trying to join an active squad even though I disable and completely shut off my anti virus and firewall. But nonetheless the game is still really really fun and the devs fix bugs constantly.

I am a software developer and have been playing games all my life. I have a degree in Information Systems and I am knowledgable about business models and system analysis. I have seen games suceed from day 1 like League of Legends (former alpha tester) and games that didn't make it due to greed and poor business models (pay to win). I am offering assistance to this game not only monetarily (grand master founder) but here are some of my advices.

My questions, why I ask, and suggestions:

Question:

1.) Will you add a logo/symbol to distinguish each warframe?

Why I ask:

When you press "Z" in game, you see who is in you group. Their name and mastery level, but it would be cool to tell what warframe they are with a symbol/logo to tell us this.

Suggestion:

Add a symbol/logo associated with each warframe and include this in your party menus and the reports.

Question:

2.) Will mastery levels be easier to obtain and actually mean something?

Why do I ask?

Currently at mastery level 2, you get nothing, at mastery level 3, you unlock Gorgon and mastery level 4 you unlock HEK, but mastery level 5, 6, 7+ you get nothing. Encourage players to get higher mastery? Also mastery levels are extremely hard to get because you can only get this from leveling weapons and warframe.

Suggestion:

Please add some significance to mastery level and make mastery exp obtainable by other methods like "crafting", "alerts", etc.

Question:

Will certain warframe mods be adjusted so they are not useless?

Why do I ask?

Many players agree certain warframe mods are weak and players don't even use them because of its inefficiency.

Suggestion:

Specific warframe mods that are underpowered should be adjusted values to duration,damage, etc.

Question:

Will players who purchased founder's pack be eligible to discounted platinum in the future?

Why do I ask?

I am currently a Grand Master Founder, and if I want to purchase additional platinum. I really have no way but to buy it at normal price. I have no other founder's package to upgrade into.

Suggestion:

Give all founder's package the approprite discounted platinum prices for all future transactions. Not only would this make founder's package more appealing, it doesn't screw people who purchased the highest pack and want to buy more platinum but can't buy at discounted price any longer.

Question:

Will there be items(mods/artifacts/blueprint) that will only be obtainable by playing the game?

Why do I ask?

Currently everything can be purchased with real money. As a Grand Master Founder, I can safely say I can buy everything in the game that I want, but what is the fun in that? it makes the game get boring quickly.

Suggestion:

Add items to the game that can only be found through playing the game. Like certain blueprints only obtainable from defense mission, some blueprints only obtainable by Alerts, and artifacts will only be obtainable in game.

Question:

Will there be more sentinels in the future?

Why do I ask?

There is currently 2 sentinels but both of them doesn't fit my playstyle.

Suggestion:

Add sentinels of every flavor. My friend and I would prefer a sentinel that supports him via heals, buffs, etc. Add sentinels that can tank/heal(support).

Question:

Will there be a change in the moding screen?

Why do I ask?

Currently there is a clusterf*ck of mods in my mods menu.

Suggestions:

1. Have a search tab to search through your mods.

2. Group duplicate mods together.

Question:

What are you plans for advertising the game?

Why do I ask?

The game is very fun, but it needs a strong player base to survive and continue to grow.

Suggestion:

Add a refer a friend feature that will allow players to invited more players/friends to join. Reward them with credits/cosmetic items/platinum. Look at other games refer a friend model. Ex. Whenever your friend purchases platinum you get 10%, when your friend gains to mastery level 3 you gain 2,000 credits.

Question:

What are you plans for PvP?

Why do I ask?

I notice that you guys mentioned that you guys are looking into PVP. Many things can come from this. Competition sparks people to continue to play a game.

Suggestion:

Add a PvPvE to the game where 2 teams fight to get to the other side. Other team will disrupt and prevent the others from attaining this goal.

Add a dueling system with features that allows players to adjust the rules of the duel. For example. No mods, no rifles, no pistol. You can set no "x" mod, or no "x" weapon. Players can adjust this accordingly and leagues can be formed using these options and banning out what they think are OP weapons,mods,etc.

Question:

Any plans to publicize the game's social media like Twitter, Facebok, etc?

Why do I ask?

To gain popularity the social media is a cheap and effective way to give your game some publicity.

Suggestion:

Encourage players to like the game's facebook page, follow the twitter, etc by rewarding them with small items, perks.

For example: League of Legends give a skin to people who follow their facebook.

Not much to ask, so far you guys are doing a great job.

So here's my 3 questions :

1: will there be a better mod menu?

[current one is hellishly difficult to use]

2: will there be more cosmetic items in the market?

[so far the only way i tell other players apart is how their weapon loadout is on their backs]

3. Chat overhaul/stabilty?

[would be nice to have a chatbox that's always open so it's easier to respond to other players looking for a group to run something]

My question is:

Is it possible to give each of you microphones during these Livestreams? You (Rebecca) and Steve are fine and can be heard, but Evil Scott likes to mumble (or at least lean out of frame as in the last webcast). It'd be nice to actually hear his snarky comments.

Now, if you can only get Scott to wear his Snidely Whiplash hat and moustache...

Can you see a time when you might implement "invasions" or such like ? Make a doubling/tripling of enemy in a system and the community needing to beat each map 10times or more before the invasion is repelled, (with, maybe, no resources in that system for that time and a boost to everyone when the system is cleared) ?

Hmmm

Q1) Are we going to be exploring a much larger aersenal of weaponry, granted that the game exists in a space age with so much Techological advancement but yet we are still so traditional.

Q2) How much development are we going to be seeing in the sentinel system besides Wyrm and Shade, especially in the sense of personalization.

Q3) Are we going to be seeing a community zone where players can mingle in a visible space pre/post mission for recreation, sparring and trading purposes.

Q4) Is there to be any further refinements to the way our warframes function, possibly increasing their specialty and forcing players to make use of such specialty.

Q5) Are there plans to improve the way inventory is managed, especially in the attempt to find Mods in a heap of large icons when trying to fusion or equip.

Why is there a map called Kappa and will there be more maps named after Twitchtv emoticons?

Most of the maps on Sedna are named after aquatic monsters of myth and legend; a kappa is a japanese lake spirit thing.

Will there be any more contests, like the screenshot contests?

Will we see any additions to the rosters of the enemy factions, or parhaps new factions?

Will there be any overhaul to the very transient nature of groups? Like a lobby in which we can see what the other players are bringing to the table, and adjust our load-out accordingly.

Q1

Will we ever be able to a way to modify the polarity of warframe/weapon/sentinel slots? If not that, will you be adding polarity to weapons that don't have any slots with polarity? Some weapons lose a lot in terms of modability because of the lack of a polarity slot.

The hek is a good example of this. It has no polarity slot, but absolutely needs a magazine capacity or reload speed mod to be reliable. It consequently ends up giving up a lot energy that weapons that have polarity slots can spend on increasing damage or squeezing in elemental/multishot mods.

Q2

Will the warframes get any individual voice acting? For example, having them occasionally say something when they use a skill?

Is there a chance of raising the cap limit from 30?

What ideas you guys have for PvP? and PvPvE?

Why do I ask?

Many players I see really want PvP, because it creates competition. League of Legends is so big because of eSports and its competitiveness.

Suggestion:

Aion had a great PvPvE concept, if guys can implement this it would be stellar.

PvP needs to be objective base to create team work, team deathmatch would just be a for fun mode.

Dueling can be for fun, and make this very dynamic where players have options to ban out certain mods, weapons, etc.

Runescape has a wagering match system where you can say "no helmet", "no main hand weapon", no "x skill". This way the community can determine what is balance.

Question:

Will there be a way to change polarity on warframes?

Why do I ask?

Polarity matters in later parts of the game so that you can use less mods slots

Suggestion:

Have rare item that can change a "V" to a "-" and other items that can change a "-" to a "V", perhaps from Alerts only this opens up alot of mix and match builds.

Question:

What are you plans for end-game content?

Why do I ask?

Games with no goals for end-game tends to get boring fast and then dies off.

Suggestion:

Many possibility of end game, from leaderboards to defending up to wave 100 on every planet.

Question:

Would it be possible to increase party size to 5?

Why do I ask?

4 is good but 5 is better

Suggestion:

Increase a normal size party to 5 or have certain missions party size up to 8 for difficult missions.

Question:

Plans to encourage group play?

Why do I ask?

Playing with others and meeting new people who enjoys the game is what makes a game truly enjoyable. i don't know how many times I found fun games but got bored because I was bored playing by myself.

Suggestion:

Introduce a way for players to meet new players and do missions together.

Question:

Do you guys have any plans to add feature streams on website?

Why do I ask?

League of Legends actively encourages players to stream, because it gets traffic from and to their sites. Not to mention it also advertises for people who loves watching streams (twitch.tv)

Suggestion:

Have a page on the website to list people streaming while playing the game.

Question:

Will trading ever be added to the game?

Why do I ask?

Having a good economy is something players look for.

Suggestion:

Have trade missions where people have to complete before they can trade at the end. With limitations, for example certain items cant be traded. Items purchased with platinum can't be traded. Once a mod is attach it is binded to the account, etc.

Question:

Any plans to add features to missions like secret areas, secret passage, increase difficulities to hacking puzzles, hard to reach areas via difficult maneavurs (running and hopping from wall to wall, climbing hard to reach places)

Why do I ask?

This game has a good movement system, where you can get from A to B in many ways. Introducing secret areas, harder puzzles, and time limit runs will add so much depth to the game.

Suggestion

Back in WoW, if you complete a raid within 25 minutes you get a rare mount at the end. But this was only achieveable if you do everything succesffully in one try. Implement something with time limit and encourage speed runs.

Increase hacking puzzle difficulty and add secret areas, people like exploring and finding cool new things when they look around. In Zelda, there were walls you can bomb, and secret chests you can find. This can open up a whole new world of fun.

In Maplestory, there were jump quests. where you had to jump from A to B within "X" minutes to complete the quest. Using all of Warframes jumping mechanics (running on walls, hopping from wal to wall, jumping from A to B, rolling under this, slashing that) you can introduce ways to make the game so much more fun.

In Rift, there were cubes scattered around the world, that required some exploring, and jumping a lot to get to, this was so cool and Warframe can do something simliar.

Question:

What are DE's plan in balancing warframes in the future?

Why do I ask?

Some warframes are better than others and more popular than others. The ultimate goal would be to have every warframe just as good and not one warframe is best at everything.

Suggestion

How and when will you guys make tweaks to the less powerful warframes?

Question:

Any plans to change the UI?

Why do I ask?

The UI currently has very limited information, this can be elaborated and include more details.

Suggestion

Including a function like pressing "TAB" while in game, can show you a more advanced version of the current "Z" and the result menu we have at the end of the mission. Shows player's name, warframe, mastery level, ping, objectives, quests, kills, assists, etc.

Question:

Are there any plans to change Platinum prices and time it takes to craft items?

Why do I ask?

I have friends who don't spend money on games. I want to lookout for them because they have complaints, if they stop playing the likelihood of me stop playing will go up. I also hear many feedbacks from F2P players who are not contend with how long it takes to craft items. It takes 12 hours per weapons,armor piece and it takes 3 days to craft a warframe. It can take more than 1-2 weeks to craft 1 warframe or they can buy it for $20 this is too much in terms of price. They will gladly pay $5 if they fill like its worth it.

Suggestion

Crafting weapon and armor pieces should be 2-4 hours and crafting warframes should be 8-12 hours. Price per warframe should be around $5 (league of legends champions are rouglhly $5 or less)

Question:

How often do you guys plan on releasing new warframes, mods and artifacts?

Why do I ask?

League of Legends has released 1 champion every 2-3 weeks sinced open beta and it has gone very well.

Suggestion

Release mods, warframe, artifacts, puzzles, secret area, any content every 2-4 weeks to keep the game fresh.

Question:

Will there be a full wipe upon full release or Update #8?

Why do I ask?

i think that a full wipe/reset should be allocated especially if there is big changes to the game. Many players would be upset to lose everything, but I am sure they will be fine because everyone lost everything and a fresh start means new goals and competition.

Suggestion

Set a date for one full wipe when a big major patch/update is going to be game changing. Use this patch to tweak all underpower warframes, fix major bugs, introduce new items, changes to platinum pricing, etc.

1. Can we get a catalyst this time?

2. Will we be seeing sentinel skin replacements? (please let us replace the slug Wyrm with a cat hanging off of whatever that is)

3. Are long guns going to have more interesting mods to offset the raw power of pistol/shotgun mods, or is this unintentional and you lot are just hard at work balancing everything?

4. Walk speed mods?

5. Are we ever going to get an option to limit what kinds of mods can be dropped at some cost? A good example of this system would be the map op-out system of Dawn of War 2, you could select up to 2 maps that you absolutely did not want to ever see, and it'd pick anything but those two. This could be especially relevant if you decide to include weapon specific mods as it can get to the point where it's impossible to actually get what you're looking for.

6. Sniper Weapon balance, will we ever see it or will they just perpetually be the odd weapon out? (It's honestly ok if they are, but we should get some indication of this)

Will you add more solar systems that will have new factions?

Will you make random encounters? For example while you do a normal Engineer map suddenly infested attack at that ship and you have to fight both

Just wanted to say, I'm loving this game. Hooked me right away, and it's such a great change of pace from other MMOs.

Two questions, though:

1) Going forwards, about how often are you planning on releasing new Warframes?

Why? - I love seeing the variety of frames already out there, but I look forward to seeing whatever ones pop up next. I can see a lot of good warframe themes still untouched.

2) Voice chat. Is there any plans for a voice chat feature to be added inside the game? (or is there one already there, and I just havent found it?)

Why? - Warframe is a fast paced action game, and stopping to type breaks the flow... and usually just gets you shot up a bunch. A voice chat feature would allow players to communicate quickly and easily, allow for more tactical play, and so on. I think it would be an excellent feature to add.

Given that this is a beta - I understand how there are bugs and kinks to work out (that's the point), but what is your ideal image of this game? Everyone who has ever had an idea for a video game has a perfect picture in their mind of how it will play, the content that makes it so fun, and what makes it stand out from the pack. What is missing from Warframe that you wish you could / are planning to, implement?

While the reoccuring questions about skins and weapon selections are, granted, understandable, I'd like to look at the bigger picture here about replayability and overall game interest.

Boss Fights

I've only completed half of the territories, but out of those few, the only Boss fight that was remotely interesting was the Corpus boss. Coming from a huge MMO background, there is just 0 thought behind boss fights. The Corpus boss was tough to kill, but had interesting abilities we had to contend with. All of the other bosses were just a slash fest.

Are you going to improve the interest in boss fights? Bosses need special abilities that we as a group need to be aware of and understand how to counteract their effects. We need a coop element here of joining together to take part in particular tasks that weaken the boss. Whether those are activitating console's in a room that do something specific or pulling them away from an area that grants them extra strength.

Are you going to increase Boss difficulty? So far, all of the bosses i've encounted, unlike the Corpus 4 legged boss, have been pathetically easy.

With an increase in difficulty, must come a greater chance of drops I've yet to get a single drop from about 8 boss fights except 1 blueprint that was worse than the weapon i had already.

Stealth Gameplay

Ash and Loki's abilities need some serious work due to their buginess/effectiveness of stealth style gameplay. I myself, while it seems that going COOP is the fastest way to get through levels, love to challenge my ninja spirit.

What are your plans for improved stealth style gameplay?

Will you please change Shade's cloak ability to include itself? Shades cloak skill is extremely useful, when upgraded, to hide yourself from enemies. But when an enemy notices a floating alien balloon following you overhead, doesn't help.

MORE FREEDOM

While I've come to love the concept and the polished work you've guys have done with the game, which is why i'm a founder, you have to get us out of this Sandbox.

Have you thought about introducing more open world gameplay? Less, follow this corridor, open a blast door, do something, go back through the corridor and exfil..... It's completely boring and annoyingly repetative. This is where a lot of my friends immediately gave up on the game and shunned away about possibly picking it up again. You're going to reach a much broader audience if you gave us more opportunities.

More level/gameplay interest

Levels need to be longer (and completely different maps), random events need to occur, random bosses showing up unexpectedly.

Has there been any thought to a Single Player option? Apart from going solo, is there any discussion about story progression of ones character, lore involvement etc?

Individuality

I've seen so many forum threads about customization.

Have you considered giving the players more customzation options?

What have you thought about that sets one player apart from another instead of just their Warframe? Fighting along side a team of the exact same warframe makes me feel like a pawn, not a hero.

Those are my most important topics. But a HUGE thank you for your continued effort, community involvement and beauitful game.
