Digital Extremes and Epic worked together on the development of Unreal Tournament back in the day. As far as I know the to companies are still on good terms. With the announcement of the new free to play UT starting development, it had me thinking about the possibilities.

Specifically, how could Epic and Digital Extremes both benefit from some cooperation. Maybe some kind of cross promotional stuff could be done? Epic could provide some new character models that DE could plant in some future event. Imagine, an event where the Tenno joined forces with human resistance member, similar to the Red Vail, and the character is a model from the new UT. Vise versa, DE can provide Epic with some Warframe Models to sprinkle in UT. It's a small thing, but it could be cool and would draw attention to both games. Naturally at first this is a much better deal for Epic as Warframe already has millions of players, but I don't think that is reason enough to not do it.

Maybe there are other ways the two companies could benefit? Doesn't have to be a marriage, just little nods and pastiches that recognize the two companies shared history and appreciation. What do you think?

and also ut is going to be designed largely by fanbase/modders (at least that's what I got from pc game article)

I bet that de could give them some some warframe models which would be fricking cool imo

There's already Warframe models out.

Not sure what DE's stance would be on people porting/using those though.
