Just some quick brainstorms to throw into the abyss.

 

 

The medic sentinel

Supports and heals the player, for survivability-focused style.

 

* Sentinel has extremely strong shields.

 

* Fairly weak weapon

 

* Sentinel's attack precept is short ranged and "revenge" type i.e. only shoots back at enemies but will not initiate offense.

 

* Unique ability: Health regeneration for both sentinel and player. Similar to regeneration aura, but only for the player with the sentinel.

 

 

The sword master's sentinel

Makes close combat more awesome for hack and slash style.

 

* Very short ranged continuous cutting beam with high DPS.

 

* Offensive sentinel will pick fights with anything within short range.

 

* Unique ability: Will occasionally paint enemies with a vulnerability debuff. If you kill this debuffed enemy with melee, gain energy.

 

 

The demonic sentinel

A cute puppy for Nekros.

 

* Barbed bolt launcher. 100% chance to inflict Bleed on target.

 

* Unique ability: Siphons health from enemies and uses it to charge its revivifier device. Once fully charged, raises a corpse as a friendly zombie with all its original stats (max one zombie).

 

 

The Von-Neumann sentinel

This one may turn into Skynet if you're not careful

 

* Plasma cannon has low DPS but high damage per shot with a small AOE and always inflicts Corrosion.

 

* Unique ability. Sucks up ammo packs that the player can't use, and turns them into small drones that will follow for a little while and shoot at enemies within short range. (imagine if Nova's null stars fired little pew pew lasers at enemies instead of exploding on them)

 

 

The gunboat sentinel

Straight up damage

 

* Large sentinel with extremely high armor value

 

* Weapon has similar DPS to Deth rifle, but is more of an autocannon than a pea shooter.

 

* Unique ability: Rocket barrage. Fires four guided projectiles at randomly selected targets within range. (micro rockets like Hellion's barrage).  High chance for blast proc.

 

 

The fortress sentinel

For people that really hate being hurt

 

* No attack precept; sentinel cannot attack at all!

 

* Unique ability: Force dome. Any time the player's shields are down, the sentinel will project a small dome which has enough room for the player and one or two really good friends kneeling next to them.  Allies gain damage resistance while protected.  Force dome has no cooldown between uses, but has a capacitor that is depleted while active.

 

 

The dancing sentinel

Tactical victory through superior balance.

 

* Goo cannon. Low damage, but always slows enemies it hits and leaves patches of slow that will hinder enemies that touch it.

 

* Unique ability: Once per cooldown cycle, will completely negate a knockdown attack against the player.

 

 

And I think that's good enough for now.  Fare well my thread, into the darkness with you.

I like the Healer and the Fortress as well. Keep bumping the thread so it will gain recognition.

There is no need for pumping :), just some Artwork, the idea is already good by itself.
