Should De Remove The Ability For Friendly Units To Block Shots?

Yes, so much this.  I got fed up with my teammates and NPC's standing my way all the time that I have punch through on all of my weapons just so I have a chance of getting some shots in.  

 

EDIT: As far as trolling, give the Host the option of turning FF on before the start of a mission.  I bet Loki's Switch Teleport shenanigans would come to a screeching halt if he got shot everytime he did it.  And leechers.  Man, those leechers...

 

If the host could enable friendly fire, he could turn any node into a conclave map.  He could start a mission to host it, then wait for random people to join the match.  It doesn't sound like there'd be anything to stop him from blowing people up as they're entering the match.  Sneaky people could also blow players up during the match and kill them without warning.

I personally don't think it should be removed.  Reasons being:

 

1. Punch through mod will allow you to shoot through allies

2  It personally doesn't bother me at all if I can't shoot through a friendly

3. It adds variety to the game (in terms of builds [see punch through] as well as gameplay)

4. The game is already pretty easy, this will just make it even easier

5. I find it satisfying to careful aim a shot so that it does not hit an ally or corpses prior to hitting an enemy

6. It provides a trade off for explosive weapons, which are rather powerful otherwise

7. Less immersion

This is ridiculous... Can't you see that's for limiting the OP'ness of explosives weapons? it's not for realism, hence there's NO collision between player characters (Oh I regret that I assure you!), it's the only thing that prove that you play with other people !! It add a minimal tactical feel, it's a shooter , boys, not a freaking MMO WoW like....

 

explosives weapons get stupid damages and you don't want some limitation ??? You'll see everyone with ogris/penta, that's impossible. I hope I'll never see the time where DE will listen to people like you...

Actually? I do hope that I'm wrong, but I don't recall having any of my weapons being able to shoot past teammates and Decoys other than the Ignis. Arrows don't penetrate for sure.

i dont mind players getting in my way occasionally as it is rare, but doing invasions can be quite awful when you have 3 to 7 prod-men and shockwave moas swarming a lone grineer. making it so that you are unable to shoot the enemy cause they act as body shield.

Imagine you have friendly fire turned on....and then...a Vauban in your team, infested mission. He uses his Vortex (if memory serves and that is the skill which sucks enemies in)...everyone rushes in on the spot and starts melee'ing...everyone dead.

FF doesn't need to kill, if it just knocked the person who runs into fire down, like an ancient hit that would be enough, but, of course, people would exploit this like any FF mechanic to grief, its a sure thing, that's why I doubt it will ever change
