achromos Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) I will sum up the idea within the first paragraph just as a general layout for the idea, however you may continue reading [recommended] if the idea is something that interests you. The "Decoy Mission" type will consist of distracting a portion of the enemies forces, the difficulty will quickly ramp up as you draw more and more attention to yourself. The mission will start with lotus launching a pod (Decoy Transmitter)(a pod every four minutes but no more than two pods every ten minutes) that will emit a signal meant to taunt enemies to the location (map) in a effort to lighten the load off of other tenno forces. You must protect the "Decoy transmitter's" The more Decoy transmitters out, the higher difficulty. If you lose all of the Decoy transmitters you will fail the mission, however as long as one remains you will still be able to play out the mission. Be warned however, you will only be allotted 8 Decoy pods per Mission [They aren't cheap you know]. You may choose to extract once every ten minutes, so be wary of over extending your efforts! The difficulty ramp will act as follows taking level 20 enemies as a template 1-2 Decoy pods active = Level 20 One Possible target 3 Decoy Pods active = level 40 Two Possible Targets 4 Decoy Pods Active = level 60 Two Possible Targets 5 Decoy pods active = level 80 Three Possible Targets 6 Decoy pods active = level 100 Four Possible Targets However, while losing pods may temporarily drop the difficulty, the difficulty will curve up suddenly and sharply reguardless 10 minutes = Level 20 minimal 30 minutes = level 60 minimal 60 minutes = level 80 minimal 70 minutes = level 100 minimal You are after all purposely gaining the attention of the enemy forces the more time you keep their focus means the more time and resources they have to waste which will quickly bring you to the front of their attention so they can get rid of you and continue on with whatever they are doing without the "Tenno Pests" disrupting them. At the start of the mission you must hack a Decoy pod to begin drawing enemy forces to you, and to activate more decoy pods you must also hack them too. Enemies will focus on getting to the pods randomly and sometimes in groups. Meaning, they 'might' go after the pod you are trying to protect right now, or that other pod that you may have left undefended. The pods will have high shields that are capable of recharging quickly to compensate for possibly having to dash across the map and then back to the other if the RNG of the waves decides it likes your previous pod more or that they would divide the focus of their attacks on multiple pods. You can slightly influence what pod the enemies are more likely to go after by activating a distress beacon by hacking the Decoy Pod again, this will for the next three minutes make the Decoy Pod the highest priority target, highly dangerous but if one Pods shields are too low, or a team-mate goes down and you wish to draw them away from a more priority Decoy pod or even if they are all focusing their efforts on one pod this may be a good idea. Rewards will be divvied out every ten minutes with each tier of reward being based on how many pods you have active at that point in time. 1 pod active 10 minutes = Credit Reward 20 minutes = Low End Reward 30 minutes = Forma Blueprint or Prime Part 40 minutes = Low End Reward 50 minutes = T1 Key 60 minutes = Low End Reward [this list below repeats every ten minutes] 70 minutes = Forma Blueprint or Prime Part 80 minutes = Low End Reward 90 minutes = T1 Key 100 minutes = Low End Reward 2 pods active 10 minutes = Low End Reward 20 minutes = Low End Reward 30 minutes = Forma Blueprint or Prime Part 40 minutes = Low End Reward 50 minutes = T2 Key 60 minutes = Forma Blueprint or Prime Part [this list below repeats] 70 minutes = Low End Reward 80 minutes = Forma Blueprint of Prime Part 90 minutes = T2 Key 100 minutes = Low End Reward 3 pods active -------------------------------------- 20 minutes = T2 Key 30 minutes = Forma Blueprint or Prime Part 40 minutes = Rare Resource [Oroken cellx2, ect. G0dsFavoritePrincess Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 To me this seems like a rework on the Survival mission. Everything that is different is the way you do it. In the survival mission you are also a decoy.,trying to distract the enemy forces while a fellow Tenno raids the ship.
