Static sound issue

I get a static sound from the speakers when the game is active. When I alt tab to anything else, or the desktop everything is fine. This is very annoying and makes the game unplayable. I tried changing or reducing the music/voice/game sounds to zero and nothing changes.

Its pretty weird as a problem. Ofc Ive never experienced anything similar with this rig in many other games, else I wouldnt be reporting this. Changing the default sound device to my headset and restarting the game works, its obviously related to the onboard sound card not the headset sound card.
