I got it cooking after I purchased the BP (straight after update release) It's nice to have a clan where people are still in-need to get Argons. Just remember. Take a regular Void run to keep your Argons polished off, as this is a new material so i guess DE Will have alot of weapons to build from these malfunctioning crystals

An hour left, 1 argon crystal. Played a T2 survival as a Nekros with allied Nekros, Hydroid, and Nova. Nova kind enough not to MPrime everything in sight. 40 minutes of nonstop desecrating on both our parts. Only one Argon earned. Hope my team eventually got their second, but less than five minutes before it melted / disappeared.  Currently in construction.

Yes, but the window of time you have to do that in is much smaller (wiki says about 3 seconds, which feels correct).
