kimahn Posted May 18, 2014 Share Posted May 18, 2014 i like the idea of necropolis, but more like a home for the sentient, creators of the "dark" weapons, w could have a serie of dark weapons, or simply dark skins :) as for the ennemies, sadly DE is still a small team and cannot but 684354 enemy types, but the "spectre" technology could be used to make new troopers, sure :) id like a old temple/dark ambient dojo with morbid elements baroque style, something a bit scarier than infested, and since they roflstomped the orokins ... they could be endgame, eventually :) we just have to find a way to express endgame, endless horde of uber enemies will not do it, i was thinking of smart fights, with a slower progression, but this is too close from Mmo, apparently dungeons displease people, i thought about adaptive spawn, who match the fighting style, frame type and loadout of the tennos, once again, this is apparently not good. so the question is .. do the majority of players want a brainless shooter or not :x perhaps we ll have a "game design" stream at one point, so we could understand where DE want to go :x Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MrPigman Posted May 18, 2014 Author Share Posted May 18, 2014 I...kinda like the idea of a Tomb of the Orokin (as in, a fully physical tomb, which is similar to the Derelict tileset, but much more vast. This is something you'd need to dedicate some time to. Have some more of the parkour elements than in most of the other missions in the game. Have some secret chambers which hide Corrupted or Nightmare mods, for example, and some Wraith versions of weapons - for example, a Skana Wraith with a phased skin attached. In addition, I liked the concept of the mobs in the OP, but I think it would be incorrect to have them with those names - these could be more than just Corrupted, like the Specters from the Dark Sector Conflict.missions. So, your bog-standard enemies would resemble Excalibur, and the heavies would be, say, Rhino-lite and Trinity. You could have Nova Pulse and Stomp traps, which freeze you for four seconds, for example. Also thanks for the feedback i really like all the ideas coming in, i will try to implement them and make this idea better and better. that after all is how ideas grow to be genius! How would you "win" one of these missions though? Would you have to survive X number of mission types, or would you have to beat one mission type and then each subsequent mission type won would give you better loot? Xolot Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 You necroposted like a boss, nekros would be proud of you XD I like this idea too, too bad it was posted when i didn't get into the forum, it gives some space to make missions less monotonous, the necropolis gives us a new zone to explore, and gives DE a new chance at setting traps and secret parkours room (void don't have many good ones) and some interesting enemies, it lacks a defined lore, but it's easy to give it one. I would tie this with the void, now that the sentient are back, and probably trained against the void powers the warframe already have, they would go back to the deepest zones of the void looking for a new hope to become stronger, finding there their lost tenno partners and many of them being corrupted by a void energy overload.
