Gelkor Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I'm sure there's been other threads made about this, but I couldn't find one to bump it. What is up with the Heavy Melee carry animation? Seriously, no one would ever hold a weapon that size by the very end of the handle. Only to magically shift hands to a better position whenever swinging or blocking with the weapon. It's goofy looking, is there any way that we can just carry our two handed weapons with both hands when in melee-mode? Or at the least, choke up on the handle when carrying it one handed so that it doesn't look like we are carrying a giant foam anime cosplay weapon?

Zagrax Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I do agree that the present carrying animations look pretty dumb, that and most heavy melee's really need a damage buff seeing as most 1 handed/light weapons are comparable in damage.

True. I think when they made the Melee 2.0 balance pass they forgot to factor in swing speed entirely. But that's for a different discussion, this is about how ridiculously goofy it looks. I can almost handle swinging a foam weapon at someone as long as it looks cool, which it does not.
