I tried doing an Invasion mission without killing any enemies, siding with Grineer.

 

I only had to kill 2 Crewmen after all Grineer were dead.

 

There were 118 Corpus enemies, and a 116 were killed by the 40 or so Grineer in the mission.

 

(According to "Warframe Builder") The Hind has a Burst DPS of 725 and Sustained 409, while the Dera has Burst DPS of 248 and Sustained of 155... nearly triple. (along with a better status chance for Bleed procs) If the stats are anything similar scaling on enemy weapons, there is a serious issue here.

 

I'm sure lots of people who aren't using Rhino, Loki, or Trinity all the time have had times when they had to use a Health Restore on harder Grineer missions. I can't remember the last time I've had to use a health restore on a Corpus mission.

 

I think the main issue is Elite Lancers. Not only do they have the "3-times-better-than-Dera" Hind, but they also all have Alloy armor, changing what used to be a +50% to a measly +15%. If Elite Lancers were changed to a semi-special unit (like the Elite Crewman for Corpus) I believe it would lessen, if not fix the problem.

 

SIDE NOTE-

Has anyone noticed the sheer amount of damage Seekers and Shield Lancers can dish out? I've had my shield of 860 be taken out in less than 2 bursts from a Seeker. This is about level 24ish (On Ceres).

 

EDIT: So yeah, a lot of people say "Corpus should be buffed instead", but that is a little risky, seeing how far DE can go with their buffs. At the very least I would like to see "rebalancing," making sure one faction isn't stronger at base or in scaling, because right now, Grineer wreck Corpus. You can stop with the "buff corpus" posts now, I got it.

Shield Lancers are funny at very high levels because they have a bug/feature which involves their shield double hitting and instantly killing a player, forcing them to spend a revive.

 

Ancient Infested do that as well sometimes.

I don't find it strange that the security force is stronger than a handful of merchants and crappy robots, really.

 

EDIT: Grineer dominance is inevitable.

Most Corpus units have a Puncture damage weapons that have a bonus vs Armor. Tenno Armor included.

Considering this and remembering how's Tech's Supra can melt you down already at ~30... no thank you.

 

Agreed on Infested though.

I agree totally, Infested are too weak as they are.

New flying types of infested should balance this out to keep those from hiding up in a tree,

And bring on the "FORCE MOA" hell yeah.

I do. To quote old Roman guys like Marcus Tullius Cicero on the matter once again: "The sinews of war are infinite money".

 

It's not a coincidence the most powerful militaries belong to the wealthiest countries. You can have the biggest badass in a wartorn hellhole who's had years of experience in fighting - none of it makes a difference when that dude gets bombed by some drone flown by a guy barely out of high school.

 

It doesn't even make sense from a game perspective, considering our sabotage missions revolve around preventing the Grineer from being able to build energy weapons. Why bother if it actually reduces the damage they do?

You would think scavengers who make it there business to take orokin tech would have better robotics/weapons. maybe the enemies might be weak but the weapons and shields should be something to fear. I mean after all, they are a high tech race with LOTS of robotics. Kinda silly there weapons are weaker then grineer hand-me-downs.

I meant their Viper. One can out DPS 3 Lancers...

I'm not opposed to this, might actually get someone to take another look at the dusty-old Corpus Clan-tech.

 

Buffing enemies can be a little dangerous, so I suggested the safer solution. Weaker enemies will still let the game be playable, but lets say someone buffed Corpus and Infested to the level of demi-gods, most nodes would be almost unplayable for anyone who doesn't have a Rhino, Trinity, or Loki. (Myself included)

Grineer do need to be nerfed. Since most Corpus weapons have puncture damage to balance out Tenno and Grineer armor, buffing Corpus weapons would just make them awfully powerful. Then again, they themselves have little to no armor, so they'd become a more glass cannon faction compared to the tanky Grineer.

Nah, just nerf Grineer weapons.

I think you're exaggerating

Maybe so, but with how ridiculous Eviscerators once were, I can't say it isn't a possibility. DE can go a little wild with their buffs, while nerfs won't make the game nigh impossible. DE does try to cater to the masses of Rhinos, Novas and Trinitys complaining "the game is too easy!"

Warframe is already very easy. I can't see why any faction could possibly need a nerf. I'd suggest you just get a group of friends to play with, maybe you need a support with you.

warframe is already stupid easy once you get a few mods/forma/taters, plz dont make it any worse

 

the game needs to be MUCH harder in the later levels where it is currently a boring snorefest

 

at the same time, stupid base dmg mods like serration/hornet-strike need to be removed and give weapons +5% dmg per rank 1-30 instead, this will help the new player experience IMMENSELY

Hell yeah. A mech on the level of bombards, napalms and scorches. Some penta icebombing monstrosity.

 

I like to picture something like the cortex reavers from system shock. Just half a torso dangling from its brain connected to some spider legs.

Yes, yes and yes.

High-level grineer are the only challenge left.

i dunno man, i find the corpus much more challenging than the grineer simply due to the sheer amount of bullets spewed per second, most grineer take cover and attack sparingly while switching between hiding places, the corpus just comes to you en-masse throwing a thousand laser bullets per second. and they all look the same on top.
