If the DEs see this they better add when an enemy ship comes to attack you can fight back and take either their supplies, ship, or take over that area for yourself.

Have captured targets in the cells, if interrogated, reveal a possible Rare Mod/Void key on a certain node so you can find it (i.e. a personal alert) (I think this has been suggested in another thread, but I forgot what it is).

Maybe certain environments with open air would allow for a laser designated bombardment from your ship as a "one per mission" support tool. This also imies that we can change the weapon systems on the ship to suit different tasks, like a missile barrage or laser lance.

Holding cells containing capture targets. Potential mini missions or side missions from interrogating them to unlock a personal alert for uncommon type mods or something that you could invite people in on.

Unfortunately, until we get confirmation that there is more to the Tenno Ships than what was shown, entire holding cells would be impractical given the somewhat small size.

With that big window on the ship, I wonder if we'll see conflicts as they happen.  The Devstream mentioned something about a Grineer ship that was supposed to be visible, so it seems reasonable to see Corpus and Grineer ships above the planet, shooting each other during the invasions.  I'm not sure how it should look during an Infestation, but maybe there's some Infested ship that hasn't been shown yet.

Maybe we'll do what we've always been doing.  We'll just add a bit of water to the captive and reconstitute him in the back of the ship.  When we're done, we'll just turn him back into a fine powder.

Two suggestions:

First, the ability to acquire a bigger ship through subsequent quests or play.

A bunch of these ideas are cool, but the current design of the ships would limit them.

Having the ability to get a bigger ship would allow for more features and add more progression.

Second, is having other players come aboard your ship if you are hosting a private lobby.

Along with this, the ability to throw people out of the airlock would also be a great addition.

I guess this may be under the banner of previous suggestions, but it would be nice to get some in-ship notification about alerts when they are first triggered. You know, some sort of "INCOMING TRANSMISSION" that comes up on a holoscreen for the player to investigate.

This could coincide with Inbox/Death Marks, and/or Chat. I wonder if these would have a diegetic appearance in the ship.

on other words, we all want the normandy...XD (mag = tali) this game is getting better and better XD

Tali is love.

Tali is life.

On-Topic: More customisation, especially when it comes down to really making the ship "yours" rather than a copy/paste of another player's ship, is a top priority, or at least it should be.

I wonder how far the ship customization will go.  The stream showed off the interior of the ship and focused on that, but will we be able to customize the exterior as well?  Do the ship modules change the exterior?  (example: new engine that lets you travel to the void)  Do we get special scenes or messages when we finish our quests to enhance the ship?  (example: The ship is docked somewhere.  Robots uninstall the old, battered ship armor and install better armor.)

It'd be good to have visible progression for our ship, and show it off during scenes or while it's docked at the dojo/hubs.

Suggestions 1-5

1. Warframe Crew: Your Tenno ship will be inhabited by the other Warframes that you own. Obviously, if you only own one Warframe, you will not have a populated ship. In addition to this, the ability to switch between your Warframes by communicating with them or via a console has been discussed. Given the somewhat small state of the Tenno Ships, it may come down to selecting certain Warframes to be present, instead of potentially all sixteen.

This....I do NOT want to see this implemented.  I am a solo Tenno with multiple suits, I don't like being different people.

To each his own. Personally, I like the idea of multiple Tenno.

I'd like to have a launch room that allows me to connect myself to a skiff for the ride down to the mission. In that launch room I'd like an arsenal bench that will let me choose weapons and gear for the mission.

Bit more walking but a bit more immersion too.

I'm liking everything you're selling. But this:

THIS is what I want, above all else.

Then a simple compromise: Have the console specified in the suggestion to also include options to reduce or totally remove the "crew". Perhaps put them in cryostasis pods instead. Which means both us who like to believe one Tenno = one warframe and those that believe one Tenno = all Warframes are happy. Best of both worlds.

I'd have to say that I'm in the "no crew" camp, since I currently believe you're one Tenno able to control the different frames you acquire.  You simply swap bodies to whatever suits the mission.  It's kinda like what Motoko Kusanagi does in Ghost in the Shell.  Even though she's able to control multiple bodies simultaneously, she still has limits and she generally resides in one shell at a time.

It seems likely that the player ship has four stations because our parties have a limit of four people.  Each person in your party or lobby can be at a station during whatever pre-mission cutscene happens.  (for example: a view from the back, showing the people in your party, looking out the window at the planet they're approaching)

  • 2 weeks later...

maybe would be cool if you switch planet that you have a short travel time , to close in on the planet or idk if thats already in it , would be awesome to see yourself homing in , not to slow tho ( id say put turbo in them ships)

( edit: also add a skip button for the people who dont like this so they dont have to suffer )
