Marshall Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Our community is awesome! There are tons of superb ideas on how to make Warframe more fun.The sad truth is that the most epic suggestions are the most absurd ones :CMany, many concepts don't make sense unless we change the whole idea of this game in a technical matter: This is a free to play title. The developers need to make a living from something!I personally wish for a skill-based gameplay, the problem is that this would remove the need to spend money in certain situations. As long as there is the hated RNG, timewall, etc players have a reason to contribute some real money in order to get beyond these obstacles. It is not in DE's interest to make everything fair. This is not possible even if they wanted to but it is not intended. We cannot force DE to change their game in a manner that destroys the flow of money. Why did they make more items tradeable? Because platinum is the best currency in trading, players will buy more of it for actual money. Why do older warframes get nerfed? To make you get a newer one, ideally via paying for it. The list goes on.
Iraetus Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Why do older warframes get nerfed? To make you get a newer one, ideally via paying for it. Nope. I disagree. Thats a pretty huge deduction. I have seen older frames that were buffed. So no.
Endrance Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 That is alot of speculation. The fact is, this is indeed a F2P game, and it requires money from somewhere to stay alive. But the buffs, nerfs, etc has nearly nothing to do with it. Check the following though-line. Trinity nerfed invencibility required a specific set to be "Invencible", everyone who player HER, wanted that set. Either farmed it, or bought it. The nerf destroyed that set, there is no need, (or at least, less of need) to get that set, no more people trying to buy it. A nerf destroyed a "hunting for a set" run. Despite the fact money is needed, i honestly believe DE does not make the changes occording with it. They take it into notice, so they don't get greatly penalized, but don't act on it.
