KoreaNinja Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I want to know what's better for Orthos Prime. I DO NOT care about matching polarity.
Psychosist Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 As far as I know, Bleeding Willow is better than Shimmering Blight because its combos are longer, allowing for more crowd control. Shimmering Blight is just a watered-down copy of Bleeding Willow last I heard.
Jiminez_Burial Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I personally prefer bleeding willow. The jump allows me to make use of the range as well as sometimes granting headshots.
deth_monkey69 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I prefer bleeding willow, even the quick melee combo is very good.
Naftal Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I like both their animations myself so I suggest you try them both too and decide yourself.
LunarWind Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I prefer Shimmering Blight purely for the animations. When I used Bleeding Willow, it seemed to be straight up better in effectiveness. Better damage, better range, more stagger immunity. But something about the way it looks just bothered me, so I stuck with Shimmering.
Niennah Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) Bleeding Willow's first hit in all combos is a point blank slash that locks you in place for about a second. If that doesn't bother you, go for it. Otherwise, stick with Shimmering Blight for freedom of movement. Edited May 25, 2014 by Niennah
Archistopheles Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 If you trust the Wiki, Bleeding willow's combos use 10% less stamina, so I believe it's designed to be better.
Wallace24 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 It's possible that shimmering blight's combo can increase your combo meter faster. but it's fairly limited in range, since bleeding willow's combo has a lot of dashing forward I prefer bleeding willow's 4-hit quick/simple combo to shimmering blight's 3-hit one. the animation just looks better, and I think bleeding willow hits a wider swath of enemies around you I didn't even change the stance polarity on my orthos prime. a catalyst and maybe 1 forma (possibly 2, can't remember) is more than enough
