Just tried my Galatine for the first time in Melee 2.0

 

I was wondering how the game's biggest weapon has less base damage than i.e. the Bo

This weapon needs a damage buff fast in my opinion, as it should be one of the strongest weapons, maybe remove some speed from it to make this happen.

 

I also think the Fragor and the Scindo might need a damage buff.

Against what? Enemy type and level. And what was his build, specifically? I'm curious.

I'll have to ask him when he gets on tonight, I didn't ask. I just remember hearing him laugh hysterically over VOIP and sending me a screenshot link (which I have since lost).

 

He was using invisible Loki against infested on the DSD on Pluto farming up some fun and fusion energy.

Now if he could actually put the galatine to use somewhere other than cheesing infested, then I will believe it isn't underpowered.

 

Seriously though, since Melee 2.0 all heavy/slow swing speed weapons have been out damaged, out maneuvered, and left tenno wide open to attacks with only a few stagger effects to show for it; Devs have already stated they're looking into it, hopefully soon because my Scindo needs blood.

I don't think that a specific mod should be the gateway to making heavy weapons usable. I think that's a crappy design decision, and they should change the base strengths of the weapons to make them feel worth using BEFORE including stance buff mods.
