Other Plans To Deal With The Endless Level Scaling For Difficulty ?

What if there was a level cap at lv 40 on endless defense and survival, with another way to increase difficulty without turning enemies into bullet sponge ? 

 

 

Example : 

 

Corpus ; Lv 40 def

 

- Step 1 : The lv 40 is reached, MoA's start spawning in bigger numbers, and rare ones become uncommon.

Step 2 : Then, more shield ospreys appear, boosting enemy defenses while letting us a way to disrupt these defenses. 

Step 3 : Snipers get a far away cover and start deploying energy shields. 

- Step 4 : Every 5 waves, a downgraded version of a robotic Corpus boss spawns. 

 

These factors can be increased without putting any hand on enemy health / armor / shield / damage output. 

 

 

So that, people stop complaining about Trinity being useless (which is false lol)

The thing to consider is that DE has to cater for low end PC users and PS4 users too, so multiplying numbers like you suggest in your first 2 steps would not be a favorable choice for DE.

Hell, you are right. 

 

Maybe just buffing the % of strong enemies ? Like, on 30 MoA's on a wave, instead of the usual 2 fusion, 4 shockwave and all others are basic MoA, we would have 5 fusion, 10 shockwave and 15 basic ones ? 

 

Not sure if it would really increase difficulty though.

Aoe stuff is already too powerful, I know as I use an AOE melee weapon but many abilities just melt stacks of enemies together far faster than I can.

This would make farming too easy imho.

However all that said some rarer enemies at higher waves would be nice, one with a hive or spawn effect for example.
