Am I the only one getting this message after attempting to update the to warframe in the latest patch, everytime I try to run the game this is what I get. Now I've updated Windows as mentioned by someone, but it hasn't helped at all.

Any advice would be awesome.

Then install it; what else? Just extract the contents of "directx_Jun2010_redist.exe" (use WinRAR or 7Zip) to a folder, then run the "DXSETUP.exe". Proceed with installation.

EDIT: Umm, if you already run the file, there should be a prompt saying where and what's the folder for all the extracted files placed; just go to the folder where you extracted it and run the "DXSETUP.exe"

Hahaha!, thanks man. I'm sure a nub! i got this now. Really appreciate the support. I hope DE marks this cause I'm sure tons of players wouldn't know about this. <----- says me a Web & Graphics Designer with 15 yrs experience on his belt. So shameful lol

Okay so I just installed it and it seems to be that warframe still isn't working. Do i need to restart?

Just to be safe, yeah.

Dunno what happened to either the game or your system when the patch downloaded that could made DX9 files got corrupted/undetected, but I hope this one will do. Oh, and don't forget to clean your registry, just in case of bad registry entry referred to DX9 files.

Okay so I restarted and I'm still having the same issue. So I don't understand what's going on. I did send a bug report but I haven't herd back from DE.

What do I need to do to delete registry that might have gone bad?

Just in case that the registry entry was referring to a wrong point, that would have a chance of error results. Don't clean it up manually; use CCleaner or similiar programs.

Not necessary, but you could do it both with CCleaner;

CCleaner has two function, one that cleans your system from junk files (Cleaner tab, just directly click the "Run Cleaner". Mind you, this will also clean your browser history, cache, and offline data, so unless you really needed to clean it, use Windows' Disk Cleaner),

and the other one that celans your registry from bad/incorrect entries (Registry tab, just click "Scan for issues", and then "Fix selected issues" You can choose to backup your registry first just in case there's something wrong).

Would doing a system restore by pass all of this by the way?

IIRC, yeah, but it would take more space. If you have enough space for the restore point, by all means use it; much more reliable.
