You're viewing yourself, others can see you and clone and you are both moving rapidly. I would expect that you're splitting the enemies amongst the two of you, which is why people are concerned about how much time is being spent in bladestorm.

AscendantWyvern Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 If you whip out a melee weapon beforehand, you'll notice the combo counter going up a lot more than it would normally. You don't visually see the clones.

You individually might be doing lesser damage, but Bladestorm now does 3900 total damage in a much shorter time interval. Seriously, play more with Ash and you'll understand his mechanics more.
Endrance Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) It does not do the same damage before. It deals more. Before this "patch", Blade Storm dealt 2k damage as Slash and an additional Bleed proc. But Slash Damage it mitigated by armor, so at higher levels your damage is decreased. Now it deal the "starter" damage, 2k Finisher, no proc, but it's not mitigated by armor. So it's better at higher levels. Also, The time spent on blade storm was "reduced by 66%", and the amount of target increased from 15 to 17. Let's not forget that if you build combo with melee, you'll deal insane damage, not mitigated. Edited May 29, 2014 by Endrance

xJiX Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 The only nerf I experience with it (i only use Ash), is that since it's so quick, my shield doesn't have time to restore. It's only a minor issue that's easily overcome, however.

He was my favorite the ultimate killing machine and they broke him. Now what frame should i get that does that kind of damage as he once did and is not a tank or a spell caster. I tried Valkyr and she just doesn't compare. I like the Melee in this game. I was greatful when i found this game and didn't have to play WOW anymore. But now.... Have you, you know, actually bothered to read his posts. He says he's experiencing fewer kills with the new one. I've no explanation for why that is, but if that's so it sounds like he has a huge bug. The fact that it's improved for everyone else doesn't mean it has for him if there's a bug in play.
