Argenex Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I just found out that I was supposed to have received A legendary core, in fact 2, for my max Steel Charge. My Steel Charge mod has been maxed for almost as long as I have played warframe, I maxed it right away for my rhino which was my second frame. So we are talking spring to early summer of last year, in a guesstimate. Any ideas? Thanks.
TrinityPrime Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Legendary cores were only handed out back when Steel Charge was accidentally upgraded to a rank 10 mod, which people fully ranked. Are you saying you still have a rank 10 steel charge?
Dtexas Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Okay, there was a time that the steel charge mod became a level 10 mod. People who level'd it passed level 5 so if it was 6+ when it was reverted back to a level 5 mod, you received legendary cores. If you never leveld it passed level 5 during the time it was a level 10 mod. You dont get legendary cores.
Dalu__Ka Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) 10 plat says you did get them, but used them to rank up Ammo Drum. (By mistake) Edited June 1, 2014 by Tenn00b

Are you saying you still have a rank 10 steel charge? What I'm saying is, it was max ranked last summer, well before the update was released which was in February of this year. The mod says it is Maxed rank still, but at 9. I have no Legendary Cores nor have I seen any since I have returned to the game, within the last 2 weeks. Unless they are hidden somewhere or I have to claim them somewhere? Okay, there was a time that the steel charge mod became a level 10 mod. It was the first aura that I maxed rank on because it fit on rhino, which was my second frame, last summer. When I got rifle amp I replaced it with that. Literally for as long as I have had Steel Charge, it has been max rank. I am a big proponent of using auras to squeeze out more mod space. Edited June 1, 2014 by Argenex
Krjal Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 10 plat says you did get them, but used them to rank up Ammo Drum. (By mistake) Ouch. Please tell me no-one did that.
Dalu__Ka Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Ouch. Please tell me no-one did that. Plenty of people did that, although few will actually admit it :P

Look on left side of the mod, and see the tick marks/bars going up it? That's the rank. If bar is solid, it's up to that level. if it isn't solid, it isn't that level.
Argenex Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Plenty of people did that, although few will actually admit it :P Except that I read what I click on, and also since I've returned I already had 700 common fusion cores which I have been using.

Yea I know that, it has always been "solid" and max rank. Like I said, I purposely max ranked it, it was my first aura, for my rhino so I could squeeze more mod space on.

It has been a rank 5 max mod for it's lifespan except a few weeks in (wiki says u12, I forget when, but it was this year sometime) when it was a 10 rank mod, (examples of rank 10 mods are serration, redirection, etc). What you are saying doesn't fit the timeline. As stated above, LC's were only given out if your mod was rank 6-10. In addition, all steel charges that were 6-10 are now rank 5/5, so you saying you have rank 9 is impossible. Even if it was rank 9, you could still go to 10 before it is maxed. (wiki says u12.2, it's been a while so I forgot, when it was changed back to 5 ranks.) Edited June 1, 2014 by Soylent_Green
BeWhatIAm Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 so unless you ranked it up to mod value 10-14 (for that limited time) then you didn't any legendary cores.... Rank 14 aura mod = 12-28 Mod points on an unranked frame... it was awesome to start frames with
Argenex Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Ok so someone explained it to me; There was a window of time where it's rank was increased, and during that window of time, If I had ranked it up further (even though it was already max rank), then when the window ended, it was de-ranked, I would have gotten the cores. Now I understand. Thank you. (me looks at wiki and narrows eyes)
