Fusion Possible Bug Or Just Annoying Way Its Set Up.

First i do everything that we all do to fuse a mod to upgrade it, so thats that. But then I look and my rare 5 cores are chosen to be fused into upgrading something as simple as ammo drum?! the hell! what is up with that!? the stupid auto-fuse needs to be thought of to be better implicated.

Auto fuse tries to use as few mods/cores as possible so of course it'll try to use the most rare cores you have.

or just do it yourself it not taking that long

It tries to fuse with cores that cost less in credits with the most effective boost. It doesn't consider plat worth of cores since at one point there was no trade system.

 

There is actually a bug with fusing cores though. I tried this four separate times: When I went to fuse a serration from unranked to max it would crash the game. Kinda odd, manually doing it works fine. I also didn't try to do this with other 10 rank mods, just serration a few times.
