MEGASHAFT Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I've just noticed that all of the Aura Mods we have right now are listed as Uncommon. Is this some sort of glitch, or could we expect to see rare aura mods in the future?
Hunter3.0 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 You can expect to see a Legendary Aura mod as well. amirite?
VKhaun Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) Because a rare mod would be rare, and that would mean more forum blow up about WTF GRIND WALL OMG NOT MORE RNG etc etc. This is why we can't have nice things. Edited June 3, 2014 by VKhaun
Grimfrost Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 A true ninja does not need "nice things" to carry out a job
Naftal Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 It would only change the amount of fusion energy we need to rank it up...
eprstt Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I've just noticed that all of the Aura Mods we have right now are listed as Uncommon. Histori Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) Those are the rewards from alerts i dunno why they made them uncommon but a rare aura or a mod will need more mods to fuse to get it to max rank. And alert rewards are controlled by someone in De office i think. Why do you want rare aura anyways. Edited June 3, 2014 by Histori
zebar1313 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) Have a new addition to our ship "foundry room" Mod Builder. Certain mods that will be able to be bought in the market at a certain mastery rank preferably 8 at the very minimum. Since they are rare they should be good amiright and as well as hard to get. But these one's won't be behind an extremely tough RNG wall like the rest. and these rare aura's won't be easy for new players to acquire for the main fact that the uncommon aura's are still easily obtained. These rare aura's will be unable to be traded tho for obvious reasons. (mastery 8+) and there is no restriction to trading based on mastery rank. They get it, but can't build, but these mod bp's will be in the market so no point to trade, only work towards that mastery level. This will add more achievement to reaching mastery rank, will add more mods to the pool, and relieve people's issue with RNG. Another possibility with this Foundry based mod system would be setting this up for Event mods (when they are released) This can make things more simple for the distrubution of more OP mods. By making them Mastery restricted. (not talking about mastery restricting all, just the event mods that are released into the drop table pool later down the road.) this will make it difficult to have these mods right off the bat, but make leveling up your mastery rank more worth while. This is a possible solution for releasing rare mods like that. Also make Legendary mods a similar system, but allow these mods to be traded since they have a very heavy trade tax and most beginners wouldn't be able to afford it. yes this is slightly biased against beginners, but being able to create these mods is a very tricky procedure only the most skilled tenno can perform. This could also be used to make Serration and Hornet strike for beginners as well, make them require simple materials like 2 morphics, 2 orokin cells, circuits and salvage. At least for these mods. Would help loosen the RNG for beginners to get these very very necessary mods. That and allow them to make very easy in case they accidentally sell them. (beginners make mistakes) a Foundry system would be a nice addition to help Mod dilution to an extent. But as i said, only for the rare, and necessary mods. Keep mods like heated charge, split chamber and those in the drop tables, but the more needed mods to get on the saddle like serration and hornet be put in this foundry set to help people starting. I know my friends who started all complained til rank 2 about being so under powered and the game came off as way to difficult even on the beginning planets. They made it all the way to Ceres before they had their very first serration drop, and yes every single node finished, all the way up to Ceres, finally got one off a drop in a survival there. (he already had one because i traded him one as soon as he reached rank 2 so he didn't quit the game.) ((he then proceeded to buy a prime access bundle because the game became so much more fun)) Edited June 3, 2014 by zebar1313
Androgynous Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Because a rare mod would be rare, and that would mean more forum blow up about WTF GRIND WALL OMG NOT MORE RNG etc etc. This is why we can't have nice things. they aren't actual drops though so making them rare won't change their rarity unless DE manually alter the appearance rate of auras in alerts. so there's no benefit to changing them, since it'd make fusion more expensive. the quality of a rarity (i.e. common / uncommon / rare / legendary) doesn't necessarily correlate to the actual rarity of the mod. third and fourth frame powers have the 'rare' quality but are certainly more plentiful than certain uncommon mods such as hornet strike or equilibrium for example. or if those legendary cores were not legendary quality but rare and simply named 'legendary core', would that indicate their rarity would be on par with other 'rare' quality mods? no it wouldn't. TL;DR - the coloured border + rarity at the bottom right of the mod is not an indicator of rarity for mods that aren't mob drops anyways, pointless change.
Somedude1000 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Unless theres an aura that would have more than uncommon 5 rate like the old steel charge, there really isn't a need for rare auras Godspeed tho :D
VKhaun Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 TL;DR - the coloured border + rarity at the bottom right of the mod is not an indicator of rarity for mods that aren't mob drops anyways, pointless change. If the term is meaningless then the thread is meaningless. Obviously the OP meant rare when he said rare.
Deidaku Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 This reminds me AUra mods only come from alerts right?
zebar1313 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 This reminds me AUra mods only come from alerts right? yes, that or in the trade channel or a friend who has a thousand. They're very frequent alerts
Kuestenjung Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I wouldn´t mind a rare aura mod but before DE should bring all aura mods on a par.
Joyfulmama Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Rare auras? So their alerts come on less often? lol
