CorrosiveBug Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Ok, So I've got a problem with Strict NAT. I've done the correct portforwarding and they are all open. Except I still get the Strict NAT error. My router is: Technicolour TG587n v3 Can anyone help me fix the strict nat?
mistopportunity Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Port ffffffffffffffoooooooowaaaaaaaaardddddd Edit: In all seriousness, it might be windows firewall, make sure you have warframe permitted on your local network, or it could be an antivirus program. Edited June 4, 2014 by PinkStarSR11
Allenaattori Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) How old is your router? I had to change the whole router to fix Strict NAT... Had to buy a new one with a UPnP function. Yours might not have UPnP... I'm not sure. Follow this guide to open the ports for Warframe for your exact Router model. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Technicolor/TG587nv3_Technicolor/Warframe.htm Edited June 4, 2014 by CookingFood
the1Blind Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 After forwarding the ports, did you *disable* the UPnP functionality in-game (and restart (not just log out and back in the game afterwards?) Because having both the ports forwarded and UPnP (which basically tries to do the port forwarding automatically) will interfere with each other.
Rydian Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Warframe will tell you to port forward even if you already have because the NAT/port detection is buggy. If you're sure you've port forwarded properly and turned off uPnP, open a support ticket.
CorrosiveBug Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) My router is only about 7 months old. And I haven't tried turning off the UPnP. Edit - I turned off UPnP and it still shows the error and now states that UPnP is disabled. This is annoying Edited June 4, 2014 by CorrosiveBug
Allenaattori Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Turn off UPnP (router and in-game) and open the ports manually. Or turn on UPnP (router and in-game) and turn off the ports you opened. Did you try these ways? UPnP is an 'automatic process' of opening your ports.
CorrosiveBug Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) If I turn it off on the router as well, Do I restart it? Edit - And will that interfere with other games I have? Edited June 4, 2014 by CorrosiveBug
Allenaattori Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 If I turn it off on the router as well, Do I restart it? Edit - And will that interfere with other games I have? Most likely will not interfere with other games.. but yes restart the router after every change. Safer.
