Innocent_Flower Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) So I'm Thinking it'd be far better if these guys became Rare heavy units (with appropriate health). Minibosses if you will. Guys that are difficult but aren't unique. Some of them'd go through some visual changes to better fit with the common lot, but some of them would fit in without many changes. Old hek (the guy with the hek shotgun who could make clones of himself) as an Eximus unit. It's a good power and it's a shame that it's gone. Seeing a common enemy (like maybe a trooper or elite lancer) do that kinda stuff would work pretty well. Raptor as an air support vehicle who apears in open air maps. Perhaps he'd be like Floating Hek and come in, fight for a bit, Leave, come in again. Maybe with less. Possibly give this version alternate weapons. Including: Oxium osprey laser, Anti moa gun, Orbital strike laser. Kril/The gustag guy with the hammer. A regular heavy grineer with a hammer. Just think of a Male heavy grineer (bombadier or napalm model) with the big hammer. A kind of slow but very dangerous enemy. Don't give him the backpack of invincibility. Ice/Fire wave is optional. I'm thinking something more of a Scrake/Fleshpound from killing floor. Or maybe just a generic heavy melee enemy that's easy to dodge but hits realy hard. Jackal You see many jackals, deactivated, in this game. They're in grineer ships, they're in corpus ships. There's one in the energy lab. Quite clearly they're meant to be a common war machine. Maybe give him the ability to jump from place to place. Vor I'm just thinking that the Uniform Vor wears is very stylish (for grineer) Maybe there's other captains like that? Switch the faces around, Give them different weapons (but keep the lovely teleporting) and then maybe have the kind of lesser vor occasionally appear on grineer ships? PsychedelicSnake Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Raptor should definitely be some sort of miniboss (but toned down in health and attacks, obviously). As for Vor, I'd like to see units have similar methods of attack and movement, but not necessarily appearance.

S7ORM Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 However, the problem may come that some weapons aren't able to hit the bosses in a way that can hurt them.(non-throwable) Melee weapons vs. RaptorMelee weapons vs. Kril (weak spot on the back. Never tried hitting it with melee before but I assume it's difficult/impossible)And I know a lot of people who only use melee weapons...

Innocent_Flower Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Ah, Well firstly there's no magic kril backpack, Were you to read the OP. as for raptor: unless you're playing exterminate, that isn't realy an issue. Infact that might make it more interesting, having an untouchable enemy in the sky that you must avoid (though you've still got powers. I realy Doubt all four players is going to be entirely defenceless)
