I'm messing around with the elements on my weapons and I would like to see what the community recommends. I use 3 elements on my weapons, so which combinations would you say are best? 

 

If you don't have the codex complete then you can use the Damage 2.0 from the wiki as a reference. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_2.0

 

 

Infested:

Gas + Electricity - (AoE + Stun)

+75% damage to Infested

+50% damage to Infested flesh

 

or

 

Corrosive + Heat - (Armor Reduction + DOT)

+25% damage to Infested

+50% damage to Infested flesh

+75% damage to Fossilized

 

Infested Flesh - Crawlers and Runners

Infested - Leapers and Chargers

Fossilized - Disruptors and Toxic Ancients

 

 

Grineer

Viral + Heat - (-50% Max Health + DOT)

+100% damage to Cloned Flesh

 

or

 

Radiation + Toxin - (Accuracy De-buff and Friendly Fire + DOT)

+25% damage to Ferrite

+75% damage to Alloy

(The main reason for this build is because I hate heavy Grinner...)

 

or

 

Corrosive + Heat - (-25% armor + DOT)

+25% damage to Cloned Flesh

+75% damage to Ferrite

 

Cloned Flesh - All but 3 types of Grineer - Latcher, Regulator, and Rollers use Machinery

Ferrite - All non-heavy Grineer units. ("Heavy Gunner" also uses this)

Alloy - Heavy Units - Napalm, Bombard, Elite Lancer, and Eviscerator

 

 

Corpus

(Is anything better than this?)

Magnetic + Toxic - (-75% shields + DOT)

+50% damage to Flesh

+75% damage to Shields

+100% damage to Proto Shields

-25% damage to Robotic

 

Flesh - All humanoid Corpus use this.

Shields - All Corpus use this.

Proto Shields - Corpus Bosses and Corpus Tech

Robotic- Non-humanoid Corpus Bosses, MOAs, Ospreys, and Drones

Ignis modded to do gas damage and with maximalised dmg per tick. cleans infested out nicely... other than that i personally stick to Magnetic, Blast, Corrosive or Gas. Radiation on some melee or long range weaps...

Tysis with radiation and viral = most anti-grineer weapon ever. Period.

edit:or the stug, stug works too.

i always put the 3 elemental mods with the highest % on the weapon. i have no idea how the system works, so i will follow this thread and see what other people write. But unless you aim for long survival or defence missions it doesnt matter much what you put on it, enemies die anyway.

As a general rule and because I can't be arsed changing damage mods on a game by game basis.

 

A : Grineer  Radiation and Viral

B : Corpus Magnetic and Toxin

C : Void/Infested Corrosive and Cold

 

I have no problem getting to 40 minutes on T3 Survival with Bolter Prime using C. After then starts to take more time to kill them but haven't done one since adding another Forma for maxed Heavy Caliber.
