I sort of gave in to my inner window shopper and went ahead to buy the Daedalus armor set.

Yes, it looks cool.

Yes, it looks kickass.

Yes, I spent 100plat to buy it.

But. One thing that bothers me is that it's utterly useless besides making you look "cool".

If anything, the "ARMOR" should increase "ARMOR" of Warframes.

Seriously, guys, it's "ARMOR".

Please, make it happen. Please do.

Cosmetic [koz-met-ik]

4. used or done superficially to make something look better, more attractive, or more impressive: Example: "Alterations in the concert hall were only cosmetic and did nothing to improve the acoustics. "

no it cant have any stats attached because there is no way to obtain it without platinum which is pay to win mentality this is the same reason helms with stats were removed

Its unlikely they'll introduce stats on to these since they just removed them from helmets. Additionally, helmets could be obtained through alerts, which so far do not drop the armor sets, so adding stats to them without putting them in a drop table, would create a solid pay to win element that DE actually tries to stay away from.

Though if the do open them up to a non-plat option I do feel both armors and stats could potentially benefit from having a list of choice stats, or specific mods associated with them. When you equip the armor or helmet you choose from a drop down menu which stat you'd like to use. Every item should have the same stat lists so you don't complicate aesthetic choices with loadout optimization, which was the big problem with stat helmets.

cosmetics no longer give stats anymore, and they will never do.

that´s why they removed the helmets with stats

Well, there's nothing wrong with adding that feature again. Seriously, it's "ARMOR"

Point taken, yet it didn't exactly prove anything.

Well, then why don't we make each piece obtainable through alert missions then?

Well, if you look at it, it isn't "ARMOR", it's "LITTLE METAL BITS DANGLING FROM YOUR WARFRAME".

It doesn't look all that protective.

If they are to give stats to these items, then they need to make them available in game. That way, people without money to spend online, won't be denied upgrades.

Actually no.... Since it's a cosmetic, I prefer it stay that way. I don't want another p2w item....

What are we "pay 2 win"-ing? More armor, which is a stat.

It was already bad with the arcane helmets (despite negative trade-offs that made no sense). Since it allowed further min-maxing builds, which can no longer be gained (unfair to those who missed it, but yeah). The cosmetic armor, on the other hand, is here to stay, so therefore, I'd prefer it just stay as a cosmetic.

The removal of the stats from the helmets was because many didn't like the trade-offs, a few of them did have reasonable trade-offs but most weren't worth it, so they removed the stats and we now have 2 versions, Arcane which use stats and the regular ones.

So Arcane Pendragon Helm if you want the armor loss for more power strength on top of the alternate look, or the Pendragon Helm if you just want an alternate look.

The difference is people are suggesting the armor pieces come with armor bonuses which has no trade-off which means it's a straight upgrade to your frames armor rating which means the game will begin veering off towards those 3 words that shall not be named, though this thread has already been cursed with those 3 words.

No.

Cosmetic purposes only.

You should be happy you bought the set for 100 plat instead of individually which costs a whopping 50 plat each.
