Intro

This is a little weekly series I'll be starting just for the hek of it. I don't really expect anything to come of this, but I'd might as well.

For those of your in a different time zone, my Friday night is in the EST (South-Eastern Canada).

Rules

-Be reasonable. That's all. I trust you not do do anything too crazy.

Prompt

I was on the floor, helpless. My shields were completely depleted, and I'm struggling just to get up. The Shockwave MOA blasted my weapons away.

A Crewman approached, Dera in hand. He lifted his weapon and I prepared to meet my end.

  "Tenno."

I opened my eyes. I wasn't staring down a Dera's end, I was facing the handle of a Spectra. I'm stunned.

  "Take it. Quickly!" he whispers.

I complied and grabbed the weapon. The Crewman helped me up and led me through a doorway, shooting some of his fellows before urging me to come through.

"Are you going to make yourself useful or not, Tenno?" the faceless man asked me.

Enjoy!

"Likely not," a sniper crewman hisses critically, stepping next to his corpus comrade. "They aren't called Betrayers for their trustworthiness. I'd rather fight the Grineer out there alone, with my two bare hands, than with this eyeless slag behind me."

I reach for my blade instinctively before remembering what side these Crewmen are on. And that I had no blade.

"Careful," I warn. I expect nothing good to come of this, but I'm lucky just to have survived.

  Why are they helping me?

I look at the spectra confused for a moment...Then laugh. First hostile I see gets a spectra to the face. And I do mean directly. Next enemy I see, I throw the spectra at, since that's basically all its good for. While the enemy is caught off guard by having a large laser pointer throw at him, I charge, grabbing his real weapon in the process. "Now I suppose I can make myself useful."

I would appreciate it if you did not hijack my character. I can work around this however...

I quickly stagger the hostile Crewman with a strong kick before sending a few plasma bolts into his chest.

"Are you sure you would rather fight alone?" I tell the sniper.

((phonebox, Magemeat is already controlling the Tenno))

"Oh right, do threaten us," the Sniper scoffs at the prone Tenno, "it's not like I could have dropped a Lanka round into your skull while you were down." He checks the ammo on his Lanka, more out of habit than necessity; he's been avoiding open combat for the most part, and still has plenty of rounds. "we're getting off this outpost, and you're helping us. The main security force is distracted by the Grineer assault, so we're going to defect to the Red Veil while we have this chance. I don't think a Lotus-loyal Tenno would refuse, would you?"

"Oh right, do threaten us," the Sniper scoffs at the prone Tenno, "it's not like I could have dropped a Lanka round into your skull while you were down." He holds out a gloved hand, "we're getting off this outpost, and you're helping us. The main security force is distracted by the Grineer assault, so we're going to defect to the Red Veil while we have this chance. I don't think a Lotus-loyal Tenno would refuse, would you?"

"No. Do note I won't hesitate to attack if you threaten me. So, tell me where you plan to go, Crewmen," I say, gesturing to them.

"I can tell, Betrayer," the sniper steps over the breathless corpse of the Tenno's most recent victim. "Anyway, there's a shuttle in the hanger, had a friend crack the security on it a week ago. We've just been waiting for a good time to use it, and it looks like today's our lucky day. Unfortunately," he pulls up a small, fizzling hologram, poor quality but enough to get the idea across. "It's on the other side of the outpost, and we'll have to go straight through the heavy fighting near the reactor core, or just barely skate the edges of it around the barracks or research areas. That's where you come in," he shuts down the hologram, looking over his shoulder at the Tenno.

"Whoever, or whatever you are. We'd be dead as soon as we show our faces, but you can wipe out all those sad sops in minutes, or at least make a big enough distraction for us to get past without too much trouble." He leans against a wall, casually cleaning the Lanka with a rag. "We don't have much time, and you're better at this kind of sh*t than we are, so it's your call." He glances up for a second, not recognizing the Tenno's frame. "Name's Irelk, by the way, if that sort of thing's important to you."

"Let's go then," I say. I command my map to place a marker on our target destination and overview the route.

"Skirting the edges won't work too well, considering the winding structure of this station... the conflict will end before we can get to the shuttle. The fastest way through is straight," I inform them.

"I hope you can provide some cover fire for me, Corpus. We have a bumpy road ahead of us."

A voice speaks over the Corpus Sniper's Communications on his helmet "This is Commander Aryan to all avaliable Corpus Crewmen, The Grineer are pushing though Hanger Bay Zeta-7, All Crewmen and Mechs are to report to Hanger Bay Zeta-7 to suppress the Grineer threat!"

(I do hope this is reasonable! *Cries heart out*)

  How convenient.

  Enhanced senses are fun indeed.

((?))

"Like I said, your call," he pushes off the wall, obsessively checking the ammo of his Lanka again. "Don't really give a sh*t either way, long as I get off this frozen rock, where this plastic peashooter can help do something besides line the pockets of some fatass poofy-pants Boardman. Lead on, Betrayer."

((Drake's just contributing and being nervous that he'll do well. Don't mind it.))

(Sorry, just me being silly)

((It's okay.))

I walk down the frigid hallway, constantly turning left and right searching for hostiles.

"This should be easier, now that they're all heading to the other hangar."

I turn the next corner and encounter an open door blocked with lasers. I shoot the camera and gesture the others to keep moving.

((I must depart very soon, I apologize. If you wish to continue this tomorrow, message me.))
