Price Check - Cicero And Tethras Sets

It really is an oddity. Both really should be comparable in price, but it's also worth remember that during the first few weeks following the release of the Cicero mods, their prices were much lower. 400p for a Cicero set was at first a hard sell for many people. Now 400 would be a bargain to many.

 

I would say that there may be discrepancies between the selling price of Cicero what people are actually paying for them, but if you lurk around in trade chat, you'll see people offering 700+ to buy on a semi regular basis.

 

I think that in time, the price of Tethra will rise. Many potential buyers will try and haggle for much lower prices, citing that they feel the mods may be re-released soon. The same was said of the Cicero mods. Who can say if that'll turn out to be true or not.

 

I will say that if you currently do not have a Tethra set, it may not be a bad investment to get one while prices are low. You very well may make bank in the following weeks if you intend to re-sell.

Prices are determined by their time spent out after release. What I mean by that is that Cicero mods have been in the market for longer, so now they're more expensive because fewer people are supplying them. Tethra mods are from a fresher event, so that means there are more people willing to sell their supply for lower than people who have leftover Cicero mods.
