LascarCapable Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) I think it would be fun if enemies would die with some special (and purely cosmetic) effects, depending of the element used or the shot/cut location. Strong blast damage killing an enemy would gib him apart. Strong radiation damage killing an enemy would desintegrate him, much like channeling kills. Strong puncture damage killing an enemy would make some holes, like puncture kills before (rememer when you were able to make some big holes on grineer's flank ?). Strong impact damage killing an enemy would launch him in the opposite direction, like Amphis and Bo's kills. More precision about slash damage kills would be nice too, especially with Dread. How about truly beheading enemies on headshots ? Edited June 8, 2014 by Einde

DoomFruit Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Sounds good to me. The Amphis/Bo were brilliant in Damage 1.0 and for about a week after Melee 2.0 because they sent corpses flying. That visceral feel is just lovely. Likewise, perhaps corrosive kills should dissolve the body - or perhaps viral or toxin kills should liquefy parts of them (see also: ebola, necrotising fasciitis, spider venom).
