(Keep it clean peeps)

Ok so, as much as i try to get my novice clan members to try more weapons rather than the OP stuff, i've failed. Unfortunately there's the wiki, youtube, forums and random ppl in the game telling "skip all this content and get this weapon/warframe"

Im telling this because some of my novice members have been playing for like 2 weeks and they are already bored, they spent the 1st week farming boltor prime and rhino prime and the 2nd week smashing everything, now i see them in the chat saying "what to do? im bored" and their mastery rank is 5-6.

In my opinion (and ofc its my opinion, so if you dont agree pls keep it clean) the top DPS weapons, such as boltor prime, should have a high mastery rank lock or (and i kinda like this idea) the Void itself should be locked until you complete X planet or X number of planets...Or, each void tower having its own rank requirement (like, MR 3 for T1, MR 6 for T2 and MR 8 for T3) This will not only prevent low rank players getting OP stuff and getting bored, but also high rank players having to babysit low rank players through 40min T3 survival for X prime part.

Most of the game content is always skiped, yes i know you are going to say "because there are better options" and i agree with you, but you can do perfectly fine with most weapons in low to mid levels and if you are a novice player these are the levels you are going to be playing.

You might be thinking "you can level the cr@p out of all weapons in Sechura and get a high mastery rank", yup.

That being said, i think Taxis should not be allowed, you can literaly go from Terminus and skip all the solar system to Outer Terminus with a Taxi, there's no point in unlock it since you can ask for taxi for whatever alert/invasion you want to play, even boss fights, hence MR2 Nova's.

My experience with warframe:

Spent the first 2 weeks unlocking the solar system, then after that i started to play void missions (because i didn't even know how they worked, i wasn't in a clan), and i can tell you i had lots of fun doing it, i still do (1000+ hours played)

I tend not to use strong weapons unless im playing a long survival/defense because the mobs are weak anyways.

My suggestions:

1-No taxis (better encouragement to unlock the solar system in order to have access to alerts/invasions)

2-Mastery rank lock for the void or having to complete X planet to get in the void (Like having to kill Alad V or another corpus boss in order to get access to the void since they can actually get in the void, right?)

3-High mastery lock for top DPS weapons (Ogris, Penta, Soma (rank 6 is a joke, unless they do something like suggestion 1 and 2) Boltor prime, etc)

You may agree or disagree, but i think this will lengthen the game life, allow novice players to explore the game content and even have more fun.

I know what you are going to say, "what if they have fun doing it?", i know ive seen it in other threads, but think about the new players, with lots of hours of fun ahead exploring the game content, getting materials for them, and then another guy taking them to the void to get the top DPS weapon in the game when they havent even maxed their MK-1.

As the leader of a mountain clan with quite a few novice players i can tell you that this (what i just wrote) is a problem.

Thanks.

Edit: NOTICE, THIS POST IS ABOUT NOVICE PLAYERS, i know it would not affect high MR players.

Good idea, this should be done,I hate when I see low MR with a Soma and a Nova...

not that i hate it, but i love this game and i really hope it lasts for quite a long time, and this ^ is actually what im talking about.

Yes. I hosted a T3 defence yesterday, intending to go for a high wave, and hey, there's MR2 aklato Mag! Luckily, he/she left at wave 10, but I do not want to see that anymore.

Also, this needs to go in a feedback section.

Agreed. mastery Rank should mean something. Boltor Prime after rank 10, Soma after 8, Nova needs 9... Or something about it. Currently the highest MR possible to achieve is 16 IIRC, all of the weapons should be distributed through all of the ranks. Well, maybe not literally all of them, but the highest requirement should be around 10-12.

Please don't make DE mastery lock frames. The only one so far is Rhino, because he is the easy frame.

This is quite good point.
Pure damage mods are essencial.
And yeah, Boltor Prime is OP as hell and you may get TRAIND to get it quite easily.

Penta, Soma, and other weps are really good as well.

A would say that Angstrum has good idea. Argon crystals. I know that most peeps despise them (I dont like them either) but still it is does it's job.

If powerful weapons should be locked, why not powerful frames?

Glad someone finally made a topic about this.

(maybe a few others have and I just missed out)

This is a great idea, locking stuff with the mastery will let new players to slowly enjoy all the content in the game.

EDIT: +1 OP

Because their's no OP frames... i mean if a frame gets OP abilities it gets balanced to other Warframe. Their's no power gap like a Boltor Prime with a MK-1 Braton. Like a Loki between a Rhino. Frames are meant for roles. Locking a frame is locking a role.

And some of these roles are not for noobs.

At least the prime frames should be mastery locked.

As a clan leader myself I can only up this.

I see people getting OP stuff right away every day and I hate it because I know in 2-3 weeks they will leave the game in boredom as they can't be convinced to try lower powered stuff. There's like no progression or feel of achievement when you can take a taxi to get OP stuff or buy it in the trade channel right away.

Prime frame locks are good.

Unless they bought Prime Access.

I don't mind taxi-ing players if they ask me to. Especially if the alert is Vauban or a helmet. If they ask me to help them get resources mostly Oxium I'll do the same whilst telling them where to obtain it. Even then I'll go on my alt account for when I'm running missions around Earth, Venus and Mercury.

I'll always bring low rank weaponry whilst doing it. Showing the least used weapons. Also...

I make videos with me using unused guns because I love playing with a loadout I enjoy playing with. If I had a choice between the Boltor and the Boltor Prime. Boltor would get the vote. Not because it's weaker but because it was the first gun I ever made and I have a lot of love for it.

The Alad V escape mission I did I used the combo of: Miter, Akvasto and Glaive Prime. For leveling now I run with the Gram, and I do my best to model some people go "Hey, what's that weapon?" and I'll go "It's the Gram, and it's wonderful."

hek, I plan to do more videos in the future where I just show off the best of the weakest. Not only that but even despite how bad the Torid is. I'd use it any day over the Soma.

Prime frame locks are good.

Unless they bought Prime Access.

That is why i think locking void is better than just locking prime frames, because if some1 will buy prime access he won't be limited by mastery(if he has 2 for example and the prime needs 6)

I think trading should be locked to to not let new ppl's buy all the OP stuf right after the tutorial...
