Event Idea/weapon Idea (Ultimate Mod Drop Weekend Event Weekend)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I was thinking about a new weapon and damage type that could be introduced into the game and I came up with this as an event to give the weapon out. I'm not to in informed with this game and I am not the greatest at it but I do enjoy playing it and I decided to come up with something that would get me to play even more.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Ultimate Mod Drop Weekend Event Weekend~

Time Frame: Friday Morning - Monday Night (I don't have a direct date)

What Happens: All enemies have a higher chance to drop mods in missions, Rare and Uncommon mods have a 10% chance to drop rate increase. (or just Rare)

Nether Rift Event Mission: A few times each day this mission pops up as an alert

Mission Type: Survival - Instead of this being a regular survival mission this will be a bit different.

Objective: The point of this mission is to last as long as you can just like a normal survival but instead of the oxygen levels ticking down you have to just stay alive. The catch is that once someone goes down and isn't picked up before they bleed out they can not revive for the remainder of the mission. This mission can only be played 3 times a day but only once per day and fails do count as a run. (also you can not enter if you have already done the run the day even if someone else host)

Conditions: No revives, No extract until 10 minutes, You will get absolutely nothing if you do not extract.

Enemies: All factions including Wilds spawn in a mixture through out the mission. Bosses and special units do not spawn like this (EX: Stalker and Phorid) but they have a chance to spawn though Nether Spawns.

Nether Spawn: This will occur every 5 min a rift will open up and a  random boss will walk out of it this includes special units like the stalker. The rift should be indicated on your map so you know where to go.

Enemy Level: I'm not sure because I'm not sure how the level system works but something around T2 level start is what I had in mind along with it increasing over time.

Enemy stats: The base stats are stronger than normal and they have a higher chance to spawn with buffs such as increased damage.

*Rewards*

Because this is during the Ultimate Mod Drop event i figured every 5 minutes you got a Corrupt or Nightmare mod that is in an rotating order and for those who can make it to 45 min a legendary mod is given.

5 min mark - Corrupt

10 min mark - Nightmare

15 min mark - Corrupt

20 min mark - Nightmare

25 min mark - Corrupt

30 min mark - Nightmare

35 min mark - Corrupt

40 min mark - Nightmare

45 min mark - Legendary Fusion Mod

As a reward for after the event I think the weapon I was thinking about before I came up with even should be given for those who make it to 30 minutes. The Zorkrov

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Zorkrov Assault Rifle~

Weapon Type: Assault Rifle

Ammo Type: Hit-scan (I think this is what regular bullets are called int his game)

Ammo Type Pick up: Assault Rifle

*Damage*

Physical: 35 per bullet

Impact: 25

Slash: 1.5

Puncture: 8.5

Rate of Fire: 6.3

Element: None

Crit Chance: 15%

Crit Damage: 200%

Trigger Type: Auto

Mag Size: 45

Accuracy: Not sure how it works for this game but an average bullet spread is what I had in mind.

Status chance: 5% or lower (Not sure what would be best to balance the ability below)

Innate Trigger (New): Nether Bullet - Each bullet has a 20% chance deal pure damage. (Not effected by status chance mods)

*Pure damage* - Ignores all resistances of the enemy hit.

*Innate Trigger* - An ability that can trigger or happens with the weapon or warframe that is unique to that weapon or warframe.

~Clarifications on ideas~

*Ultimate Drop Weekend Event* - The biggest problem i have with this game in terms of gameplay is that mods are entirely hard to get IMO. i understand that this is part of the game but a lot of weapons need to have the higher caliber mods to be viable at all but it becomes a problem when you can't survive in the missions need to get those because you don't deal any decent amount of damage with the weapons you have. To fix that you need better weapons but in order to get them you have to be able to survive in those missions or at least deal a decent amount of damage. So to stop from having to get carried all the time when you start out people can partake in this event and get a really nice start if they are new or increase their arsenal if they are a veteran. I understand making the event hard contradicts my statement but I like a mission that is worth the pain more than one that isn't.

*Rewards* - Besides the weapon I don't really have any idea on what would be given out after the event as rewards and I am not entirely sure if what i have for what is given during the mission is a good idea seeing how for if you have  a group that can make it to 45 min 3 times a day for 4 days that's 12 legendary mods and a bunch of other ones. I also don't want this event to destroy the economy but I also don't like how people only look for plat the whole time and yes some will lower the prices and trade but I think the prices some people come up with for 1 of a mod shows how hard it can get. This event doesn't effect blueprints and part drops so it doesn't completely destroy the economy either.

*Zorkrov* - For this weapon I just wanted a strong weapon that that shreds through enemies but not to broken. As for its stats I just looked at a damage chart and weapon comparison chart to get an idea of where things should be and what I was looking for in the weapon. The weapon may not be balanced but is just an idea after all.

*Pure damage* - Because of the way i wanted the Zorkrov to be when it came to dealing damage i figured this was a good idea even though it is common in games but that's not a big deal.

*Innate Trigger* - I wanted a new way for weapons to act in terms of how the game should be so I came up with this when i was trying to figure out what to do for a weapon. The idea behind this is to open up a new way to deal damage, trigger abilities, balance weapons or even just make things look cool. As for dealing damage that is straight forward but as for  balancing weapons well that is a different story. What I had in mind for balancing things was along the lines of having a weapon that has really fast jam while reloading which causes it to reset the reload and double in reload time for that reload.I figured that that could be fun to have even though its kinda random but that could have people adjust and be on their toes. I also thought a nice one would be for a sniper where bullets have a chance to make a shock wave behind the target hit knocking back enemies behind the target and dealing some sort of increased damage to the target hit but dealing less to those behind it. A good one for melee would be on jump slam attacks your weapon will have fire lines that deal DoT shoot from it out in a star or just make a star on the ground. The good thing about this is not everything has to be a *chance to happen* type of effect some can just make your weapon glow or ooze. Even though these can be made into mods I just thought I could be something cool also these can be a new way to change crafting, For example, a blueprint can be bought in the store and when you have whats needed and waiting you make it. Once you have the item when ever you create a weapon you can use it to roll for an Innate trigger. If you get a trigger you don't wan't you can choose not to have it and still get the weapon but you lose the innate trigger activation item. This can also be a way or an option for changing stats of weapons to fit play styles.

tl:dr

*Ultimate Mod Drop Weekend* - An event that allows you a chance to get the harder to get mods easier

*Rewards* - A way to get more exclusive mods and a new weapon.

*Zorkrov* - A new weapon that is a way to change things a bit

*Pure Damage* - A new way to deal damage

*Innate Trigger* - A new way to balance weapons, craft weapons, change gameplay, or make things look cool. Even though they can be made into mods.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not the best at this game and I consider my self fairly new due to the fact that I play rarely and don't keep up with the game very much. I like to play this game a lot but the thing that bugs me the most is how hard it is to achieve somethings and I do understand that you have to work for things and you have to grind but it gets kind of irritation after a while. I am not sure if this is a way to fix this but its an idea to solve the problem. It may also be me that is the problem but I am not entirely sure.

I greatly appreciate feedback and ideas. I really want this to become something even if it just starts a stream of ideas for the developers. Pleas let me know if i need to explain something more or problems that show up because of this event.
