Which Frames Will Not Be Getting Primed, And Why?

Recommended Posts

I always see "Cuz DE said so", yet no one can ever source.

Idiocy OP.

+1.  Really would like to see the source on this,  Don't have the time to watch through every live stream, but I did control+F through the recaps and can't find anything on this.  I would think that something like this would have made it into the recaps :|

True, though the reason I chose to use the word "Tenno" was because the frames were built around the "twisted few" to channel their power, thus implying that the people inside the frames already has some identifying affinity towards certain powers.

Like Ember P codex the child on the ship didnt have a frame, yet she burned the inspector to a crisp when she touched her.

The _first_ Tenno, not our Tenno, our Tenno can wear any frame.

The point is that a Prime Valkyr would be a totally new frame. She would probably be Titania Queen of the Fairies-frame wife of Oberon.

And she would be all about happiness, all her powers are about calming people down and so on.

Some new visuals would do just fine.

Energy lasso, Shield Bash, Inspire/Intimidate, Battle Fury (With an energy spear or similar) all sound very inkeeping with a Warframe called "Valkyr" to me, just factor out the "rage" from the description.

Valky Vandal

I keep seeing this. I just don't get it.

Vandal, Wraith, are improved versions  for modern era Weapons. Weapons that were created by scavenging tech and concepts from the Orokin Era. The tech that originated all of this _is_ the Orokin tech and by extension the Tenno version that were made without access to the extensive resources of the Orokin but still are the pinnacle of what they can be.

There are no Wraith/Vandal versions of Warframes because they cannot be improved, that is that the Prime _is_

Also remember that the Corpus didn't _add_ anything to Valkyr they took things _away_, the Tenno inside was the one who used her rage to "make do" and escape she did all the work. All the Corpus added is some broken restraints.

The oldest piece of lore we have is that _no one_ can make the Warframes work except a Tenno, and Alad V is no exception to that rule, they are just children tinkering with tech they don't understand, even Zanuka is only a frankenstein combination of Warframes with a barely living mind-controlled-Tenno inside.

I'm reasonably certain her original undamaged helm was Bastet.

Source: My eyes, comparing the contours of the two.

No, half of her original helmet is still on her face, and it is green. It is also much wider and taller than bastet.

If there isn't going to be a Prime Version of some of them, I would think that, To make money and Fans happy, DE would make a kind of "Mutated" Version. Like, Extra Tested Valkyr that has something different. Just something that would make the Frame stand out.

It's a blue-green/teal, and it's a similar color as Zanuka. That gives you a hint of what the original Valkyr looked like. It's also why I will never understand why Valkyr has the highest armor value in the game (her armor is literally stripped off. She should have the lowest armor in the game).

For lore reasons. I forget exactly what, but there are reasons.

Let's be honest here, Since when has DE ever actually cared about Warframe lore?

Also like PsychedelicSnake said, They've changed their stances on things before.

Also as others have pointed out, Can I please have an actual source on that devstream they said they wouldn't prime anything after Vauban, I'v watched all the devstreams and don't remember that. If anyone could give an actual time stamp, That'd be lovely.

I have no doubt that they'll all get the "cold and gold" treatment eventually...

The way they did both Rhino and Loki suggests they are branching out with the alternatives for the frame's models as well. Rhino looked a bit different and Loki looks a ton different.

Even if they all don't become Primes, per se, It wouldn't surprise me to see Dragon or Dex variants released.

Excalibur needs a second prime model at this point, or a Dex Prime, or something.

My biggest hope is that they keep this excellent trend up on, at least, the next 4 Prime variants. The next 4 would include 2 female frames and, most likely, Volt and Ash (the two I want to see become Prime most).

Having seen what they can do now makes me wish they'd go back and redo Excal, Mag, and especially Frost.

She may have some dulled sense of feeling or tougher skin. Much like how viking berserkers were loaded up on alcohol before sent into battle. Less pain, more fight.

Ok, I guess that makes sense. I'd have given her increased health over increased armor though.

Well, the armor is what allows her to tank with health. Couple that with lifesteal and you've got pseudo invincibility.
