Irreverent
So uh... instead of just figuring out a solution to make Absorbs not interact with eachother you made them... resist magnetic damage. So Disruptors and Shock Leaders no longer actually contribute damage to Absorb. And so any allies using weapons with magnetic damage are able to contribute less efficiently. Cool. Great. This. DE, was it so hard to make it simply ignore other absorbs? :/ Waiting for another fix for this.. um fix.

Instinction
Changes: Made Nyx's absorb resist magnetic damage so that you can't generate endless damage by chaining absorbs. Yaaa... This wasn't very well thought out was it. This is not a good change. What about people and enemies using Magnetic damage weapons? Just screw Magnetic damage even more than it already is? How about you just make Absorb not absorb other Absorbs.

mjs1231
Changes: Enabled new account creation directly from the login screen. Made Nyx's absorb resist magnetic damage so that you can't generate endless damage by chaining absorbs. Fixes: Fixed an issue with Interception rewards being stuck at the first tier. Fixed an issue with certain Vor transmissions having no accompanying sound. Fixed client's HUD breaking after reviving in Interception. Fixed a number of localization issues. Fixed an issue with AI not properly spawning in certain Interception level configurations. Can we verify the phage has been reduced aka nerfed ? pepsi-tan
Hang on. Is two Nyxs using absorb on each other really that much of a problem? I've done ODD with two Nyxs for the sole purpose of testing this and it wasn't a viable strategy once we got 50 waves in. In fact having two Nyxs absorbing each other didn't do much more than having just one nyx and say a Saryn, or Nova. This was before absorb was toggle-able, so am I understand right that making it toggle-able actually buffed the skill rather than nerf as you originally intended? And your answer is to limit her potential against Corpus?

And your answer is to limit her potential against Corpus? Then you were not doing it the way that they wanted to "fix". the thing is that you need to add damage to the absorb. lets use a 20k damage ogris for example and both nyx players have one. 1st: one goes into absorb > other shoots at absorb > shooter goes into absorb > original absorber explodes for 20K that goes to the other absorb and area. 2nd: charge other with ogris > absorbs > charged absorb explodes for 40K 3rd: charge other with ogris > absorbs > charged absorb explodes for 60K And that can go on and on. And at the same time the one who can walk around can pick up energy and such. So even with only 5 transfers each wave with 20K each time and no outside damage you will deal 5 million damage at the end of wave 50... and only 5 charges each wave is just slacking so the damage number by that time should be waaaay higher. Nothing will be able to stop you once you go.

Also, the Tigris on specters that's gotta be breaking something all those shotgun pellets spamming between clients. Might account for the stability issues in games of late. Just went a lot quicker to stack because of the toggle.

Just went a lot quicker to stack because of the toggle. That still doesn't seem like a viable strategy against anything but infected, Even with overextend, can you get the blast range out far enough to hit those heavy gunners? Unless you also have a Loki radial disarming, but now we're talking about a four man team coordinating to achieve something complicated. I can understand limiting how much Nyx can absorb from another Nyx if it truly escalates as high as you claim, but to completely remove it does a disservice to the essence of the skill. Denzine
He's saying that the power creep is basically theft from players that bought previous weapons with plat. It can be difficult in the best of times to separate unintentional power creep from exploitative practices.
