BloodRhythm Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 A small change to the elevators would make traversing levels a bit easier. Make all elevators work in pairs so that when you take another elevator up, there is another that comes down next to it. This way in normal levels if someone lags behind too much, it's easier for them to catch up. This should also be the case with dojo elevators since they always default to the bottom floor position so if you have rooms downstairs, you will always need to wait for the elevator.
Archistopheles Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Let's go one step further - 4 elevators 1/4th the size of what we have now.
Drunken_Child Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Why not 7! Because elevators are buggy enough, we don't need two.
Brynslustafir Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) Or how about no elevators? Just make every level without them. Edited June 14, 2014 by Plasmaface

Apparently, people like to rush. You'd expect since we were "space ninjas" we could probably have an alternative route to get the the same destination. But guess not. We just aren't "ninja" enough.
Weke Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Or how about no elevators? Just make every level without them. you gonna redesing all the level modules that RNG places next to eachother and have RNG contrelled by another program so that it wont put tall rooms that have 2 or more levels next to each other so that you then dont have situation that where you are in eigther way too high to get to next room by any other room than the elevator one, but now that those are removed you have stairs which you need to climb up for 2 minutes where the elevator ride would have took 30sek ??? great idea... just can you enlighten us once more how this would make game better ?? to OP to have just elevator pairs + maybe the ability to make elevator pairs in dojo so that 1 button moves both elevator would solve ALOT of the rusher problem that this game tends to have couse zorencopterprågoldenturd too great to stop and _kill_ enemies in certain missiontypes (like exterminate)

taiiat Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Or how about no elevators? Just make every level without them. sounds good to me. we can probably come up with better technology, some sort of short distance warp gates or something instead, as that would be instantaneous rather than 'time to go to sleep'. the Elevators look really sketchy anyways, like they're Cargo Elevators, but for some reason are being used for personnel.

Ninjas killed as a last resort and yet we have extermination missions.
Novocrane Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 What if there were still elevator shafts, but no elevator platform? Use some kind of hazy energy platform so you can't just jump straight down & out of the level, and use the elevator button(s) to 'drop' the player through it or lift them up. (make them like friendship gates, if we can stomach more of that)
YashiroSora Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I would like the Elevator in the Dojos to go Up AND Down, instead of choosing one or the other.
Novocrane Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) I would like the Elevator in the Dojos to go Up AND Down, instead of choosing one or the other. Or, assuming no change in the current elevator system, if they had pressure plates outside the elevator to automatically bring it to your level. Edited June 16, 2014 by Novocrane
