(PSN)Haydon1775 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 The Stalker is one of the hardest enemies in the game; we have all fought the dreaded Stalker and most of us have been completely decimated by him at one point or another. (In some cases all the time) He is by far the coolest enemy in any game in my opinion and he has a unique skill and weapon set; because of this, I propose that if we manage to kill the Stalker, he will have something like a 5% chance to drop either Stalker Chassis Blueprint, Stalker Helmet Blueprint, Stalker Systems Blueprint or Stalker Blueprint. These will need slightly rare materials like 1 Forma and 2 Argon Crystals each Blueprint (building these shouldn't be that difficult, after all, you have to kill him a lot to get everything which is very difficult in itself). After this is done, he should have his signature Dispel, the Teleport he is well known for, and two other abilities, each from any Warframe you own. Basically, when you equip his abilities as you do with every other Warframe, you should be able to choose any abilities from any Warframes you currently own and you should be able to change them whenever. THESE ABILITIES HOWEVER, CANNOT BE ANY FINAL ABILITY; SUCH AS RHINO STOMP, SHADOWS OF THE DEAD, MOLECULAR PRIME ETC. He should have average Shields, (e.g:75) average Stamina, (e.g:100) average Health (e.g:100); but higher Armour (e.g:700 [only 100 higher than Valkyr so not too powerful]) and higher Power (e.g:200). Additionally, he should run at the same speed as Nekros and similar Warframes, and have nearly the same jump height as Zephyr. (Due to his assassin status). This, however, will not make you immune to the Stalker. If the Stalker attacks you while using his Warframe, nothing will change. [Additionally, for the player, Dispel should do something different. I suggest this: The player kneels and is surrounded by shadows and black smoke (like the Stalker does) giving the player temporary invulnerability as the shadows expand, dealing Viral and Radiation damage overtime to everyone caught by it, lasting a default time of ten seconds. During this time, the player will be unable to move]. There could be an additional effect like creating shadows of the Stalker everywhere that pretend to attack but deal no damage, thus drawing the attention of the enemies for ten seconds after the player can move again. Personally, (although the Stalker's weapons are a great reward) I believe that there should be more of a reward in killing him, as he is both feared and adored by many for his ruthless nature and incredible, shadowed tactics. I would absolutely love to have a chance at using his Warframe (after all, he is a Tenno and he is using a Warframe, so why shouldn't it be obtainable?) and I know that pretty much everyone that plays Warframe would revel in the chance to do so as well. Please give this serious consideration and thank you very much for creating such an amazing, unique, groundbreaking game. I will continue to enjoy this probably for many years to come. ...Probably a lot more if the Stalker Warframe is added :D Haydn McIlroy
BrotherIcarus Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) No. This is asked for several times a week and the answer still stays the same, if he were a playable character he would lose everything that makes him the stalker it also makes no sense lore wise. (PSN)Haydon1775 Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 If it's because you're worried about it being too overpowered, it won't be, it will just have some unique changes like the ability configuration I mentioned.
(PSN)Haydon1775 Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Plus, it will be very rare to obtain in the first place, and 700 armour isn't too much because as I said, Valkyr has 600.
Justgotpwnedmate Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 No. Saying "No." Doesn't help. Give reasons WHY you said no. Also, I say no because Stalker has lore and playing as the Stalker would kinda mess the Lore up. And playing as Stalker is also like changing the gender of Warframes...just not meant to be.
(PSN)Haydon1775 Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) I understand that, as I said, his Warframe may be unique, but in the end it is still just a Warframe. There isn't any reason why it can't be replicated, maybe it could be replicated by the Lotus as The Stalker is a threat and the Tenno need more of an advantage? So it wouldn't be the Stalker, it would be a slightly different variant, created to combat him. Edited June 15, 2014 by (PS4)Haydon1775

I would agree but in the context of what is being asked you can only explain yourself so many times before it isn't worth the time. (This literally gets suggested a few times a week)
(PSN)Haydon1775 Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 I thought it would, just an idea. Perhaps in its stead, a sort of opposite, crafted by The Lotus to combat him? Same idea, just a different appearance, and the main ability could be a sort of light energy instead of smoke?
Aktriaz Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I feel like adding a Stalker warframe would just make the original Stalker less unique. It shouldn't be about balance (MMO/RPG balance is a myth), more so about it's place in the game's universe. I really REALLY have to disagree with this idea, I see no place for it in lore or the game itself. A for effort though.
Justgotpwnedmate Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Then this would be a different Warframe. Not Stalker. There is kind of ish a Warframe like Stalker I guess...Ash. Even though Stalker looks like Excalibur, Ash can teleport and smoke screen, so can Stalker.

Justgotpwnedmate Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Never. Again...give your reasons...its not that hard...people need to stop typing "Yes" or "No" and actually type in a sentence.

No, nothing like Ash, it needs to look completely different, it can teleport, though it will have the unique 'any ability' feature so the only similarity to Ash is the teleportation. DiddlyMcGee Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 DE has said no to this several times and the reasoning is that there would be no point in having other frames if the stalker frame was ever added, people would make ridiculous builds for example: iron skin mprime invisibility and radial disarm. there would be no variety of frames and it would ruin the game because there will be only stalker frames running amuck and people just trying to farm to get the stalker parts, also creating even more of a mess of the drop tables, thus causing havoc in the community and the stalker loosing his unique-ness the lotus is like cortana in halo or angel in borderlands, her job is to guide us and to help us bring balance to the universe not to be a factory where all she does is create new toys for us i know the idea sounds cool but the answer will always be no, personally i just dont think it would work at all even with the changes that you stated

Additionally, the first and second slots should be restricted to only first and second abilities like Tesla and then Tidal Surge. So you could never have any of the last two Warframe abilities, therefore keeping the individuality of the other Warframes, for example, what would Nova be if something else had Worm Hole?? So this would allow all Warframes to be the only ones with their last two abilities. Edited June 15, 2014 by (PS4)Haydon1775
Implodingbanana Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 stalker is made up of various warframe parts hence the ability to use a mix of powers. playing as it would cause the lore to become messed up. The Lotus probably doesnt do anything about him because she can't, we as tenno are able to easily defeat him(not kill) so it would seem that he some how makes the smoke around him turn into a protective barrier. im sure there are better reasons but i say No. it doesn't make sense. using his weapons does though.

Implodingbanana Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Fair enough, just an idea :) a great one but.....yea it would mess things up
Aktriaz Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Understandable, though it doesn't make any sense that the Lotus hasn't done more to combat him as he's constantly slaughtering all of the Tenno... What? Rhino with a Boltor Prime isn't enough? Stalker dies way to easily, what with his slow get up after he spawns, giving you plenty of time to ready a shot. Frankly, for end game Tenno the stalker is a mere bump in the road, so he's only a problem for early game players, and by the time players would have all the BPs, they would likely have good enough equipment to solo the Stalker. Stalker exists solely to troll newbies.
