A.k.a: If you want to melee, too bad.

(I now understand that it's actually called "Shock" Eximus? Sorry I couldn't really tell since by the time I aim at it my screen is disrupted.)

you guys know what the guns are for, right? XD

guns dont save you from going around a corner and and saying this "oh an ex...and all my energy is gone"

Posted this before many times, and still agree.

Warframe powers are what makes this game shine.

An enemy that takes them away at range with no skill check? Just a terrible idea.

[rant]They are the one Eximus that I will shoot on sight even if I still need scans of it.  They are too dangerous to allow to live.  Anything that completely strips energy annoys me because energy is so key to the warframes.  Without energy you can't use powers and without powers there might as well be only one 'frame.  Hated Ancient Disruptors forever, hated energy drain in Nightmare, hate magnetic Eximus.  At least Energy Leechs/Parasitics take it gradually and you can try to kill them quick before your energy is gone.  Not the Shock Eximus though, no from round a corner he will effortlessly remove all your energy and half your shields and scramble your hud making it even harder to deal with him!  Why does energy removal keep getting packaged with shield loss and/or hud scrambling?  Complete and instant loss of all energy bad enough already with out additional effects![/rant]

This guy has more valid points than I have fingers.

Rather than an immediate and complete energy drain, I'd prefer if they had a Dispel effect that deactivates any powers in use, (including Iron Skin, Blessing, etc.) and prevents you from recasting any abilities until the EMP effect wears off (5-8 seconds). It would still make them dangerous to approach, even for Rhino, since they can dispel and lock your ability to cast an ultimate or defensive skill and force you to fall back, but without being quite so punishing to players who don't run around spamming abilities carelessly, or players who were unlucky enough to be caught by the aura from around a corner or even from another room/floor away (they're not very well telegraphed enemies for such an annoying/crippling effect).

I can understand that Magnetic procs drain energy as a countermeasure to how ridiculously OP some frames can be with their near endless energy, but it's a temporary "fix" at best and I'm personally shocked to see some people defend it as a legitimately fair game mechanic. The real course of action should be establishing a more stable energy system so that it's not necessary to strip us of the one thing that makes our frames unique all the time.

I have no problem with them if I'm using a melee build, since I stack enough HP and equip rage to survive the proc, and come back strong.

Magnetic Eximus units are really much more trouble for squishy casters who rely on shields and power use to stay alive, Like Banshee or Excalibur.

Having their attack be avoidable would be nice however, as it is it always feels cheap when you get hit by it, and unless you have a dash or a fast copter weapon you are pretty much screwed as soon as that purple circle appears.
