De: Why Are Specter's Single Use Instead Of Craft Once And Level Up Over Time?

I'm just confused why anyone would bother with them in their current state, and why DE wasted time with them. Are they just waiting a few updates to release real Specters that last forever and you level up by bringing it on missions/deploying them on missions?

I've never seen Specters used in a regular game. Such a shame, since it had such potential, and it all stems from this one problem: single use.

I am simply astounded that this glaring problem has not been fixed already.

Lowering crafting requirements is not a solution, btw. They really need to be multiple use.

Robots Die, then get rebuilt and never advance unless more resource is put it.

you say that:

but i'm 105% certain i've seen Pokemon have their Weapons level up.

Specters should just be a choice.Take a sentinel, kubrow or a specter. If killed like the sentinel it is not used up but will respawn next stage or revive.Allow it to be independantly modded and leveled.

I think the specters are actually something like a hologram or a hardlight structure and not a clone of yourself.

Pretty much what they are, just like Lokis decoy but mobile. You can't level up a projection

You can level up the projector's level.

Wouldn't be anything to level up, as they are already defined by their conclave rating. Creating some sort of AI leveling wouldn't make any sense either.

Specters aren't Sentinels and never will be.

Yep, specters are indeed in a bad place, they should take into account the mods we put into them, they should auto-scale with the enemy level in missions, they should use skills, pick up HP/energy orbs, revive players, and some other minor things. But yes leveling them up would be nice, and we should only require resources if we want to change their load-outs, but mind you, leveling should be something extremely slowly, not nearly as fast as weapons or frames,or maybe they should level according to our mastery rank, that would give people another reason why to actually get higher mastery ranks...not like we have a reason as of now.

I agree Specters shouldn't be a one time use. They should only be remade if one wishes to change the load out. I'm not sure how many people can afford the 100k credit fee plus the resources?

It almost makes me think there should be two kinds of Specter. The crappy flash grown clones that are there to add some extra firepower and another target and a more advanced Sentinel/pet version.

Maybe make Cosmic Specters the companion version and make the basic versions easier to build, since the main reason I don't is the hastle to make them. Instead of the BP copying your current load out just let us pick from lists for the Frame and weapons. As for mods on basic Specters I don't think it's all that necissary. Oh, and make them contribute affinity.

They do these two already.

When discussing the Specters, this is something we've brought up as well. I am not sure of the current solution/plans, but it has been brought up!

So we can conclude it's fixed soon, right?

This issue has been brought up so many times before. I am kinda wondering why all of a sudden everyone is "yeah specters should not be onetime use" when it was the opposit before.

I am on the "spectres should not be onetime use"-site since the beginning.

I don't want persistent Specters, simply because that doesn't actually make sense.  Then they would just be a second sentinel. Specters are robots/holograms defined by their creator.  How/why would that get leveled up?

However, the crafting cost  of these things is obscene!

I think they should work like the collector, every mission puts damage on them that you can reapir with materials.

Let us have 2 per type cosmic etc but let us buy a slot for 10 platinum.

Can't wait to have my pet kubrow follow me around for one exterminate and then gone...

-sniple-di-snip-

Yes. I also want to work for something very hard, just to loose it after one time or never use it.

Because i have nothing better to do. And grinding is so fun.

/sarcasm

No srsly. I like grinding for stuff as long as i see progress and the goal is permanent. Making the permanent spectre hard to aquire(in terms of training it, till it is good- or grinding a lot of easy to find ressources) seems fair to me, since it is ...well those things are pretty cool. Like. WOW.

Finally something for soloyolo.

Specters were dead content already at their release. It takes 8 hours build one Cosmic Specter and it's gone in one mission. That's so damn useless!

That's a valid point too.

My player perspective is on the fence.

1) I am a consumable item hoarder in every game I play. I never use things because 'I might need it later'. 10 X Vapour Specters at the ready, but I mostly hoard.

2) The times that I have used my Specter, it has saved me. This high value item spared me a Revive or solidified my mission victory. In these moments I consider their 'consumable/one time use' to make sense. Obviously this is simplifying the issue (not considering opportunities for long term investment, etc), but in base concept if I had a reusable/'infinite' supply of 'tough moment victories', that might not be fair. Not sure, feel free to discuss!
