not new abilities but the same ones with a small touch to them

 

 

Rhino's roar now also taunt's

 

shooting from inside snowglove grants bonus ice damage

 

those are the only two I could think of.

 

I would mastery lock these ex-abilities

How would we acquire said abilities? Regular mods cards, or automatic passives when the player reaches the required MR? Either way, I'm kinda on the fence about altering the existing abilities this way.

 

Instead, I think it'd be interesting if Prime frames had little tweaks to their abilities. Not necessarily direct upgrades, but modifications. Snow Globe could sacrifice some durability for the bonus ice damage. Prime frames could be equipped with the regular mod cards if the player so chooses.

 

Just an idea. Sorry for veering off track a bit. :p

You can do so  by making another xp rank for each ability mod. The more you use it, the better it gets.

I don't like this too much. Any upgrades should come from ranking the ability mod, otherwise we're looking at a whole new grind. That would upset a lot of players. It's not necessary, honestly.
