Vandal Weapon Appearance -- Classic Skin?

Hi,

 

I think it would be really great to have the ability to choose the 'default' weapon skin for a non-vandal weapon on a vandal weapon, so the stat bonuses can be enjoyed while not having to use the blue-tinted weapon appearance.

Primes are Primes because they look like Primes;
Wraiths are Wraiths because they look like Wraiths;

Vandals are Vandals because they look like Vandals.

You can do something similar already with primed frames though.

I think vandals are different weapons and that´s why they have different skins, is that simple. If you are wraith you are wraith, there´s nothing to do about it, that weaps are like some art piece to keep as they are and mean that you played in a certain period of the game. The issue it´s maybe in every single person taste in the weapons skin, for example I know dual ichors are powerful but I really don´t like how they look so I hate to use them. I guess we can´t like every weapon skin but that´s more personal preference. Hope this post was useful

I agree.  That's why I think the 'backwards' customization wouldn't be a horrible thing.  The Vandal/Wraith/Prime weapons stay that way, but have the option to use default skins too.  Some weapons just look worse with gold plastered everywhere on the Prime versions, but the stat bonuses are high enough that you have to make a significant sacrifice for asthetic... seems silly?
