Otakuwolf Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Hi everyone ! Today i've joined a match in progress with a Nova player, but this one was different from the others: When under the effect of Molecular Prime, the enemies were moving and shooting faster (like on fast forward) instead of being slowed down. I tryed to play a match as Nova myself to check if there has been some alteration to the ability or there was something wrong with the game but everything seemed working fine in my case so i don't think it was a defect of my own game or the PC. Even if it wasn't supposed to happen, personally i found it as one kind of hilarious experience seeing all those crewmen running around like in a Benny Hill short, and the Nova with this strange issue was a "Hallway Hero" kind of player so it got beaten up quite of times because of this glitch. I also hope this experience taught to that Nova one important lesson about teamwork: "Stay close to the pod and help defend instead of running far away and get killed".

It's a side effect of her alterations a while back. De decided to keep it due to popularity. They likely won't learn, but serves them right I guess.
Hallowieners Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 This is caused by negative power strength given by the mod overextended.
dragonboss Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Power strength less than -10% / -20% / -25% / -30% will yield a negative speed debuff that increases an enemy's speed (e.g., -60% power strength will produce a 0.3 - 0.6 = -30% speed debuff at max rank, which implies the enemy will move and attack 30% faster). That is what you are seeing. Nova had maximised for range and the trade-off caused that.
Angius Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Negative Power Strenght effects M. Prime in the way, that instead slowing enemies down, it buffs their speed. It was a bug at first, but then DE stated, that since players like it (extremely useful on Infested missions) it would stay as an intentional change.
--Q--Mark Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I think it is an intended feature now otherwise it would've already been fixed already. Adding max Overextended will increase the range but reduce the strength thus slowing down becomes speeding up.
gnat6 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 That happens when you use overextended on a nova now that the slow is based on power strength if the power strength goes negative it makes the enemies faster it was a unintended side affect of the changes but has since been confirmed as a feature.
Magarthryx Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 lol and they ask us not to insult them when reporting a bug all you had to do is remove the damage and it's a CC that slows and increases incoming damage done
Hallowieners Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 lol and they ask us not to insult them when reporting a bug all you had to do is remove the damage and it's a CC that slows and increases incoming damage done The thing is we don't know if the speed up is intended, they need to explain why they made the changes instead of something like "players found the skill too overpowered", or "the skill was broken".
