The AI is kinda silly, but its not my issue since there are ways to improve upon it without actually making AI more intelligent. My issue stems on weapons and their lack of being used by their manufacturers.Grineer and Corpus both have an extensive loadout, some weapons even have different functionality. But neither faction takes advantage of the myriad of weapon varieties that they have! Sure different units themselves specialize in one weapon, but that seems kind of boring and repetitive. Crewmen only ever use dera, lancers only ever use grakata, neither of them use different weapons. And when you add specific heavy units, they're tied specifically to that weapon because of their name (bombards stuck with launcher, napalm with modified fire ogris, etc).If DE plans to reserve all the unused weapons for new NPCs they're most likely making, its going to take a very long time to make each unit wield one specific weapon. DE could cut a lot of time out of development and add variety to the game at the same time by making enemies have random weapon loadouts. Weaker common units can use more common, low damage weapons while the elite variants can use uncommon, high damage weapons. I'm sure there's a fair balance between both.

Obviously a Crewman with a Penta should be reserved for an entirely separate unit, but I see no harm in Crewmen being able to trade off between similar weapons such as Deras and Tetras. Exactly, different loadouts for different units. Snipers get long-range weapons, common soldiers get automatics, heavy units get the real big weapons (in your case, tech crewman gets the penta), etc.
