Everyone knows that somewhere in the games action we tend to get too caught up and over-focused on the grind, so here are a few things i like doing that have made it a lot more enjoyable to play the game (without getting sick)
1 Keep a healthy snack handy : Everyone itches for a snack somewhere along playing, but a bag o' chips never really helped anyone, so have an apple or banana handy if you get hungry.
Alternatively, make some sandwiches, there are tons of healthy sandwich recipes to accompany your gaming habit, and i personally prefer one handed ones that can easily be held while firing your weapon
.If you need it, have a piece of candy for the glucose, but be mindful not to take too large an amount, meaning having a full candy bar while playing is a no-no
2 Drinks : Soda may be convenient, but your best bet is t have a glass of fruit juice or simply a bottle of water by your side while playing. Keep yourself hydrated, hydration is a key in avoiding health problems, and having more water means your body can digest food more easily, allowing more fat to be burnt once you get up and walk away
If that's not your cup of tea, then try a cup of yogurt, just because
3 Sitting : It is preferable to sit up straight while gaming, because slouching increases the tension in your shoulder and neck muscles, and hence can cause you to hunch while playing, which is bad in the long term
4 Stretches : In between matches, don t be afraid to stretch out, twist and turn, and practice hand stretches
Here's a silly video that kinda shows some hand stretches :
In order to prevent vertigo, why not also try shifting your view every half an hour. Look up, the n dow, then right then left. Then blink a few times and put your hands behind your head. Do this a few times and you should feel relaxed enough to keep playing
5 Rest : Aside from the 30 mins stretches mentioned just now, every one hour, get up and stretch your legs and arms.
If you can, walk around the room before sitting back down. Also, have a break to the loo whenever you need to.
Well that's all i can think of for now. Feel free to share your ideas on how to play healthily
