TheOmmisah Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 When one crafts the dera in the clan dojo, one may notice that it is far more accurate than it's crewmen used counterpart. Many people started to believe that this is simply due to Tenno manufactured Dera to be simply superior to their corpus counterparts. That is false as the reason crewmen have such terrible aim is simply because they are not actual soldiers. The only true flesh and blood soldiers of the corpus are Elite crewmen and sniper crewmen. This is why both of them have greater accuracy then their regular counterparts
Ionus Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Since when does being a professional soldier mean you have good aim?

TheImmortalHotDog Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Think about the Corpus Techs. All they do is spray and pray.
OriVerda Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Since when does being a professional soldier mean you have good aim? Since the Rise of the Empire era. Good point there. Bad point! My God how often I am required to tell people the opposite of Stormtroopers is true. Yeah sure I get that in the movies they are shown off as goofy goons but it would have been a short story if they truly lived up to their true status as elite shock troopers whom are brainwashed to have an unwavering loyalty to their Emperor. Who would watch a movie where the heroes get killed off right at the start? The Stormtrooper Corps is inspired by the USMC and that can easily be seen in the entire EU (before Lucas killed it) where the Stormtroopers Corps operated in conjunction with the Imperial Army and Imperial Navy as its own entity. There is a reason rebellion wasn't common until after the Battle of Yavin and why the Empire was feared. The Stormtroopers were the iron fist that maintained the rule over the galaxy and the Emperor wasn't afraid to use that iron hand to pimp slap everyone with it. In case that didn't work he whipped out his iron wang, the Imperial Navy.

Actually, most of the bad aim stereotype comes from the commonly used E-11 blaster rifle, which was a versatile weapon, but notorious for its high recoil and constant overheating. Many stormtroopers mentioned they preferred the carbine model instead because of how unwieldly it was.
