Is Obex Worth A Potato?

Greetings.

 

As the title says - is it worth it?

I think it's a really fun weapon (slide attack is just amazing), and so the thought about supercharging it crossed my mind.

I'm asking because I have only 2 catalysts left, so I want to be sure that it wouldn't be a waste

 

What I like about Obex : speed, crowd control, ragdolling and crits.

 

So, how effective is it really, aside from the fun factor?

In comparison to Kogake, which weapon is better?

However, what really makes it work is the stance mods. If you don't have a stance mod, then I would wait.

As a general rule, if you like using it, potato it. But yeah, maybe get the stance mod first.

Until then, just use Fury (9) Pressure Point (9) and crit chance (9) plus an 1 ranked Finisher Damage mod (3) = 30 mod points

 

I thought I liked the Scindo Axe weapon until I found out that the combos didn't really suit me, so I lost a potato on that weapon.

Also, wouldn't Berserker be better than Fury? With maxed True Steel the Obex has 40% crit chance, so Berserker should be procing easily and reliably. Fully stacked, it would result in 90% speed bonus instead of 30% from Fury.
