Steam Linkage Stuff

I prefer not using steam for warframe so I was wondering if I linked my account to steam (via downloading and starting it through steam), do the items in your inventory get permanently linked to your account?

As in if afterwards I don't use steam anymore to launch warframe, will I still have access to them or does warframe just passively "read" what's inside your steam inventory and thus needs to connect to it every time?

 

Secondly if you buy any of the packs on steam, how are they redeemed? And if redeemed will they be locked to your account or likewise vanish when you stop using steam?

When you link Warframe to Steam, Warframe can access your Steam inventory. If you unlink, Warframe can't access Steam Inventory (where the Phased/Rubedo skins are kept) so no, you won't be able to access them.

If you link your Steam and Warframe, just buy everything you want from Steam, run it once to make sure it links properly, then you can uninstall Steam or do whatever you want.

 

Packs and stuff are applied when you enter the main menu; the game will ask you if you want to apply your pack to that account.
