Salganos Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Thermite Rounds: 7 Points +60% Fire Damage, + 60% Status Chance Event Mod, 2 stats: everyone around for the next week pretty much has this, and its siblings, guaranteed. Rather powerful. Hammer Shot: 9 Points, +60% Crit Damage, + 40% Status Chance Nightmare Mod, 2 stats: supposedly has an &#! drop rate. Sorta powerful, circumstantially. Rifle Aptitude: 9 Points, +15% Status Chance Normal Mod, 1 stat: dops from melee Grinneer with a likely unreliable rate. On its own, about as useful as Intruder. For comparison: Hellfire: 11 Points, +90% Fire Damage Normal Mod, 1 stat: drops from arbitrary enemies and from certain defense missions. Quite powerful. What exactly is the reason this has yet to be addressed AT ALL?!?!?
immolator1001 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I remember they set the status mods low since they didn't want to put them to high and then nerf them, they just never got around to buffing them....
Mirriky Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Add in mods that make powers OP Nerf powers because of powerful mod loadouts
(PSN)IIIDevoidIII Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 "But... People already don't use them so why should we buff them? Just let them dilute the mod pool more. ^.^" - DE logic
Salganos Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Its such and infuriating level of numerical incompetence and negligence that it has now managed to piss me off more than any of the other problems in this game! A stellar level of flippancy towards the effectiveness and defectiveness of previously implemented content! I can't @(*()$ stand it anymore! How many strokes must you have to consistently not change a single defective number while at the same time putting effort into implementing four times its value with more perks and a lower cost on new content repeatedly? CONSISTENCY! DESIGN WITH GODDAMNED CONSISTENCY! F***, it even takes minimal effort to do here. Just, F***. Why?!
Quizel Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I use all those mods listed on some weapons or another >.>. hammer shot less often-which you listed as the powerful one of the status mods >.<. Now you want to talk about crap mods...the vast majority of corrupted mods for weapons are complete trash and hella expensive to fully rank up. The only argument I can think of that makes this okay is that they're merely to make certain aspects more fun disregarding the affects on dps.
