Change Host Or Automatically Choose Best Connection For Hosting

As a fps game, lag is a killer, especially with the new poison ospreys in the infest dark defense missions. A lot of other games already have something similar:

 

An option to opt out of being host pre-game

Change host by vote mid game

Automatically choose the best pinging player in the group to be the host

 

Please consider adding one of these options in an upcoming patch for overall better game play

I believe it automatically chooses the best host already. As for the other options:

1. I personally would love to be able to opt out of hosting.

2. The way this works would have to be very carefully done, as if not it could be abused by trolls to screw an entire game.

i imagine it wouldnt need to be complicated, like making it visable that they opted out on the ready screen, and the game just couldnt start if no one is hosting

1. Some of us have been asking for a "Never host" box to tick for a very, very long time.

 

2. I think we have all experienced how badly the game handles transferring hosting duties mid game.

 

3. It is not just about the players ping, they have to have a good enough computer to handle hosting as well.

I would really like something like this.

 

My computer, despite running the game well, throws a fit when I'm hosting.
