what the  title says;

 

am i the only one who misses being able to instantly charge thrown melees and throw them or misses the option to do a slower but stronger swing on my non thrown melees?

 

energy should be for POWERS not our melees.... though i like the implementation i miss the old heavy swing dealing 2x damage without consuming our energy.

apparently the glaive thing is a bug, charge attacks were alright, but im liking the combo's better and a lot of them do bonus damage or multiple attacks anyway without using energy, channeling gives use to energy on frames that dont need to use much normally

right now holding the melee button with prim/2ndary guns equipped does NOTHING, whats the point? why remove it?

 

just bring it back to the unequipped melee mode

 

better yet, give every stance a "charge combo" that starts with a charge attack, then has more animations afterwards, the combo could be the same input for every melee, ie hold e, then eee or whatevs

 

viola, maybe one or two stances have a combo using the same input, they could just be changed to trigger on a different input, otherwise my suggestions dont alter the current setup at all

 

imho they should have never remove the charge attacks, and they should have added new mods for channeling instead of changing the old ones

I'll have to disagree. I really enjoy what they have done with melees. Although I do think combos are a bit underwhelming in comparison to simple hack n slash attacks.

Yes let's scrap the entirety of melee 2.0. Just get rid of months worth of work from the people at DE.

 

It's not like the combo system we have today is stronger than melee 1.0 or anything.

 

Besides, if you want the old "spin to win" attacks of the Galatine and Jit Kittag, there is a stance that literally does the same thing for those weapons.

if we could have chanelle and a charge mechanik not related with power but more like a special moove that can break a combo and chain a finisher or something like that

Should just be modifier + hold combos.

 

New combo for axe stances: RMB(Block) + Hold Melee.

Does a charge attack.

 

Done. Charge attacks are back, nothing lost. No problems. Damage gained by upping the damage on the attack behind the scenes like any other special combo hit.
