BrazilianJoe Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) Now that the Tenno have been deploying specters left and right in tower missions, it follows logic that the downed specters will become corrupted, and we should face corrupted specters in the void missions. Quite a few card slots can be had then, since it's instantly more than 20 new enemies. The 'Corrupted Prime Specters' could have boss-like strength and AI, and be able do deploy more specters. XenosInfinity Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Oh god no that's a horrifying idea. Can you imagine a Trinity specter with competent AI? Your entire team would be dead in seconds.
BrazilianJoe Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) We. Need. Challenge. We. Want. Challenge. Want to play 'easy mode?' Apollodorus, be my guest. I want harder enemies for endgame. Not that Specter are that intelligent right now. But at least they have the moves to be able to at least escape out attacks once or twice. Edited June 20, 2014 by BrazilianJoe
Methanoid Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 how is a corrupted spectre going to offer any more of a challenge than the npcs we already face? (their amazingly weak and unoriginal as it is) rehashing an already bad idea doesnt sound very appealing, more varied enemys allround sounds better, the infested are getting unit upgrades no reason the other factions 1 day cant do the same.
Taranis49 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I'm also not sure how that follows logic either, there's no premise. It sounds more like "Downed Specters become corrupted, because banana". Tenno themselves get downed in the towers all the time too - hell, there's intact cryopods with dudes in them and they don't get Corrupted. There's no reason to assume "A replicant cloned from a warframe" should be any different (particularly since Tenno/Warframes are what made the Orokin extinct in the first place).
BrazilianJoe Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Specters are not actual Tenno. Tenno are resistant to Technocyte, and may very well be immune to the Void Corruption. We also have prime warframes and weapons, which shows that there is stuff which does not get corrupted. Specters are weaker/automated versions of warframes. I see them as uber-robots. Better that a plain MOA, but ultimately robotic. MOAs can be corrupted, I think it stands to reason to have corrupted Specters fighting against the Tenno into the Void. Why? for more enemy variety, more different enemies to drop stuff, and harder enemies into the Void.
