DZ1JMeyer
This is just a minor thing, but it did cause me to miss out on Hammershot just a little bit ago (which stings), so anyway: I was wondering if the Alert Information display in the lobby could include the time remaining? Just a short while ago I left the lobby for the Hammershot alert (not having really paid attention to the initial time remaining when I entered) in order to see if there was enough time left for a friend of mine to log in and join me, only to be unable to re-enter as the mission had expired while I was in the lobby setting up. This is obviously extremely minor, and my situation was not only rare, but probably more a matter of me having made the choice to exit the lobby, and needing to deal with the consequences. That said, if the change could be made with a minimum of effort; I would certainly appreciate it. Edited June 20, 2014 by DZ1JMeyer
Frostosti
hammer shot is also a reward from nightmare missions, if you did all nodes on a planet, some nodes will appear as a skull. If you select that node you can then play nightmare mod. Each nightmare mode will give you 1 random nightmare mod, but there are not many different ones (maybe max 10), so it should be easy to get hammer shot. i would advise to do exterminate nightmares, because then enemies do not spawn unlimited. DZ1JMeyer
Oh I know--the drop chance for the different mods isn't equal among them, however. I've done extensive nightmare runs, but the reason why the alerts are preferable is that you "pick" your reward. In the case of the earlier alert, the reward was a guaranteed Hammershot. The issue is essentially that the RNG is a cruel, cruel mistress. As an example, one of my friends whom decided to just grind it after enough frustration with occasional nightmare grinds, did 165 back-to-back nightmare runs to get a single Hammershot, coming down to about 0.6% drop chance.
